I notice it’s about penalties. I watched the 2nd State of Origin game last year and there were no penalties for 10 minutes. Dudes were flying around. That's what I love about league. Coaches ruin with the dark arts around the ruck with the wrestle.

In the first few minutes when the kick went up and the Australian player caught it behind the line , it was. as pointed out , according to the rules, a tap restart from the 25 line, this did not happen and when one commentator pointed it out NOTHING else was said about it! Hahaha you cant beat the British commentators can you!

I had come on again because of what that English commentator said about Mark Carrol laying all over the guy at the end when Carrol never even jumped on him and was on his feet at all times but this commentator is LIVID and raving saying he stopped England from a quick play the ball and Carrol didnt do a thing but WOW the abuse from the commenator, I know its been many years but I think some sort of on line apology is warranted for that outburst!

I find the commentators very amiusing saying things like Ohhthat wasnt so bad, Im not sure that warrants a penalty, when clearly there are intended head high tackles and when Offiah is tackled into touch the commentator says...He didnt go into touch.......what a load olf crap from the commentators, I wonder if, after all these years, they re visit these games and feel some shame? I doubt it!

ar half time the commentators say "just the one try in the 7th minute...thats the difference" Earlier they had said the Fulton could not complain about the refereeing, however it is the things the referee just IGNORED that made him a bad ref...like the head highs mainly from the English, like MAINLY the English standing constantly off side, Like MAINLY the MANY forward passes that were obvious from the English that were just totally ignored, not only from the referee but from the commentators, just like the commentators wanted to say the Offiah wasnt tackled into touch! What a joke! what a complete utter sad joke!

Covering themselves in glory for England were Gary Connelly, Paul Newlove , Bobby Goulding and Andy Platt who were great. Kris Radlinski was very good, Lee Jackson to a lesser extent. Not so much (injured) Farrell (did he made a break an assist or even pass the ball to create trouble for the Aussies?) For a stand off, Tony Smith did remarkably little except in defence, I thought, and Martin Offiah was under used in the wrong situations. Likewisw Jason Robinson was asked to do too much. Haven't seen the game since then actually. But why does it still hurt so much??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Probably the quietest game ive seen dennis betts ever have was he playing,some great Aussie players fittler johns,menzies and Jeff toovey,good game gary connolly and robinson and offiah if he has no space then a one trick pony!!!great pace bit overrated.

Think Dallas was quicker at this time anyway. The replay on the Offiah break shows how Dallas had to cut back inside but from side on managed to stay close. Without Menzies there I reckon Dallas gets him comfortably

I know it's a different time but this kind of game makes me appreciate the difference in skill of today's players especially with the boot and the technical ability of defensive teams. You are allowed to come up in 1 line haha. This kind of attack would struggle in today's game. Takes alot more deception to score against today's defensive teams. I dont want to here about refereeing either today. Bloody awful every game I watch from the 90s.
