Maxx is a beast and it's been amazing watching his journey from Eastern Michigan to 4th round pick, to being the heart and soul of the Raider defense and one of the best in the league at his position. The dude sets the tone for his teammates every time he walks in the building or steps on the field. You can't half-ass it when that guy is around, and he has become the new face of "Commitment to Excellence"

Defensive ends are truly unique athletes. Long enough to swallow tackles, fast enough to beat the tackles off the edge, need enough bend to get underneath the tackles, but also needs to be strong enough to anchor the tackle at the point of attack and then play the gap during run plays. On top of that they need to be fast enough to chase down outside runs from the backend and get lateral and set the edge on outside runs. Truly a unique combination of skill sets.
