@@ArySchlum Nah it was outstanding smarts from the player, TJ Perenara. That ref butchers way too many games and would've made yet another error if TJ didn't pick up on it. What happened was that there was a hurricanes scrum 5m out from the try line and they were awarded a penalty off that scrum. TJ took a quick tap and scored the try which was denied after the TMO showed his foot never actually tapped the ball and was also off the mark. The ref got caught up in a superrrr long TMO review that he ended up awarding a scrum to the opposition 5m out hence the argument that it should still be hurricanes penalty.

I’m football through and through but the respect shown by these players in admirable and football needs to take note big time. Credit to the sport
@YouTuneIt5 жыл бұрын
That can be trained. I mean in soccer/football the players get away with talking back, yelling even shoving the referee without any penalties there is no reason to respect the referee. The disrespect from the professionals is then learned by their fans. Further being allowed to even start talking back to the referee gets out of hand quickly in the emotional state of play, thus it needs to be cut off from the start.
@ferretchad5 жыл бұрын
@@YouTuneIt It needs to start at school level. Playing for the U12-U18s at school ANY talking back would result in either the possession being reversed (if attacking) or a 10m advanced penalty (if defending). The only player to speak to the ref was the captain who had to be polite. If you were disrespectful your teammates would soon convince you to shut up. Problem with football is there is now a lot of deficit to work back, kids grow up seeing their heroes abusing referees and assume that it's acceptable.
@carnalea24245 жыл бұрын
This is one of the things football fans like about rugby: you MUST respect the referee & accept his decisions. If a football referee sent off players every time they swore at him (and he should) the media would say "this is an emotional game & players should be allowed to use industrial language." The ref would come in for huge criticism. But ALL sports can be emotional, It comes from the people running the sport. The rugby authorities will clamp down hard on misbehaviour of any kind, whereas the football authorities are usually a bunch of corrupt, incompetent idiots. The only thing they care about is making money.
