Bro you are delusional if you believe this. I'm South African and even I can't deny it, everybody is on the sazule including us. It's way worse in the Northern Hemisphere though. @@slayerbot1394 Same in South Africa, massive emphasis on size not only in rugby but in our culture, especially Afrikaans culture. It's really bad with Afrikaners because so many Afrikaners are just naturally huge dudes, so you grow up with these guys and go to school with them so in our culture you are literally seen as not normal you are small. The biggest guys I've ever seen in my life are Afrikaners who don't even work out.Those guys usually aren't the best rugby players though as they are too big too keep up with the pace of a rugby match. Steroids can take a huge guy and give him the oomf to last an 80 minute game of rugby, which is usually what its used for here. Heard from plenty of British rugby players that will often just choose the biggest guy for a position instead of the best guy. Its the same here though.

@@dantewalters5209 is Rugby League a sport in SA?
@dantewalters52092 жыл бұрын
@@slayerbot1394 No, unfortunately not. The union roots run too deep. There are three sports worth mentioning in South Africa. Rugby, Cricket and Soccer. In the past four years, Rugby has definitely replaced Soccer as the sport of interest among all South Africans.
@slayerbot13942 жыл бұрын
@@dantewalters5209 with the vast amount of solid SA schoolboy teams, surely Rugby League should be looked at. NZ has 5m people, with probably a third of the physical sport schoolboys choosing League over Union (high chance to be picked by Australian teams), surely SA with 59m people would expand on League. Australia even focuses on League more than Rugby, and some areas only focus on AFL. Probably why schoolboy rugby has and will be dominated by SA for a really long while. Dont know much about England tho.
@dantewalters52092 жыл бұрын
@@slayerbot1394 It would indeed be a viable option, but with the South African economy as it is, it would be almost impossible to establish a new rugby code overhere. We are already losing our young players to overseas clubs and possible sponsors would be hard pressed to invest in a new sport.

A bit rusty from OC. With only 3/4 of single preason game they did better than expected for first full game of the year. Probably realize they let WBH off the hook when they look back at territory, possesion and kickable penalties. Credit to WBH defence, saved a certain match winning OC try over the line. They had some sharp attackers too that always threatened. OC will definitely improve with more games and if they can keep key players healthy.
