Might have to look around for one of those. I have a Heritage 22lr/22Mag so I have collected a lot of ammo, but I don't shoot much out of the pistol. 22Mag rifle sounds like fun! Easy cleaning sounds good. btw You 2 are looking pretty good - Jack looks like he is burning it at both ends, but that is normal...

Ruger 22 mag compact is one of my best friends. I tote mine every day for 3 years now. Ive only cleaned the outside 1 time with rem oil and still looks great ( excluding the scratches) Ive cleaned the bore every 20 or 30 shots. I took sigbts off put a 2.5x 10 x40 nikon on her. And she shoots half " groups at 75 yards with 40 gr win fmj. And Ive killed a truck load of hogs and other game with it so far. It is the best 22 mag Ive ever owned. I even am thinking about a compact centerfire. I just dont Need another rifle. But it would be a nice light short rifle to hunt with. Tell Jack Saw palmeto will keep him strong like bull.

Jonny Karlson Larger game like hogs , Ive killed large hogs over 200 lbs with mine to about 35-40 yards. Fox no problem. To as far as you can shoot it well. But regardless to hunt larger game I use the 40 win FMJ it performs like a well made soft point. The fast plastic tip stuff is for little stuff like pest control. The heavy stuff really will shock you at how well it takes game clean. We can only use rimfire in our delta area. And Ive tested all the bullets on pigs . 40 gr winchester FMJ...

That is a shiny piece of pretty you got there. That's a very nice looking blueing job on that thing too. It looks like it's never been shot. I've been hoping you would showcase this rifle again. I loved it the first time you brought it out. I guess that was the unboxing, might have even been on the Ruger Ranger's channel. Anyway I've been hoping to see it again. I'm glad you'll be taking it out to the range. I hope you have nice weather for it. All it does here is rain!
