For a fifty-yard target, lay a snuff can cover on your paper and spray paint it black around the edge. For a 100 yard target, paint the outer 1 inch or so of a paper plate black. Keep your circles concentric when aiming. Thanks for the vid!

I don't have a Holosun, but I have 3 Sig Romeo 5"s, I believe they are made for Sig by Holosun. so far, no problems with mine, I paid about 120.00 for each. they also have shake awake feature

I don't know what accuracy to expect out of a .45ACP carbine but I'm sure it will vary with different ammunition. I know that several people manufacture 1911s made for target competition and guarantee 1.5" groups at 50 yards. I don't know if the long barrel will enhance that or take away from it.
@chrisevansgunshorsesranchi6993 ай бұрын
I would think the 1 1/2 inch would be a reasonable expectation. It is not a target rifle for sure but I think it will shoot better accuracy than what I am getting. The trigger is a little hard to get used to for me. I am going to keep working with it. Thanks for watching

I just found your channel researching this firearm, well the 10mm version of it. There is not a lot out there on the 10mm version, but it sure seems like the 45 acp version is popular.👍 I am on a 1 cm excursion in my firearms apetite, and it just so happens a 16" barrel is missing in my 10mm collection.🤣 I recently added the CMMG Banshee in 10mm and decided 10mm was way to expensive for the apetite of this thing. So I went and dug my reloading supplies out of my dads attic and have been researching 10mm reloading. But in my totes of supplies, I have all the projectiles, primers, & powder to load at least 850 rounds of 45 acp, I even have 250 rounds of spent brass to start with. I might have to circle back around to 45 acp in the future.👍 By chance, have you have shot a Ruger PC Carbine? If so, can you describe any differences you observed in the recoil? Thanks, I look forward to your content.👍

@@chrisevansgunshorsesranchi699 Thanks👍 I am an old 1911 guy👍, I carried and shot almost exclusively the 1911 for 18 years.👊 I have pretty much sold out to the power of the 10mm today.💥😁💥 But from a reloading stand point, 10mm has some a lot of options, adding carbines and sub guns to mix just makes the options that much more fun.😁 But that 16" barrel might just be the perfect feral hog slayer.💥

Look forward to another test w/this carbine. It is important to know the accuracy potential of ALL of your arms ! We can keep rounds on the target at 50 yrds. with our handguns, so it is interesting to see what we can do with the carbine . . . I'll give you a tip on the red dot: When you are shooting at a small target, turn the brightness down !! It will give you that finer point of aim that you are looking for. Someone already mentioned that a solid black circle would give you a better aiming point to focus on. Stick a roll of masking tape in your pocket to use as "pasters". That will give you a cleaner target for aiming and will look better on the vid. Anyway, New gun, New optcs, and learning how to get the most out of them . . . I feel like I'm right there w/you learning about my own interests. Many thanx!

Well now this was a interesting video and a very interesting. 45 ACP carbine. I bought a Ruger lc45 ACP carbine as soon as I could find one which wasn't easy at the time. I have shot probably 450. Maybe 500 rounds through mine? It has ran flawlessly. I am using a Sig Sauer Romeo 5 Red dot sight And it seems perfect for this carbine. I like the Holosun red dot sights And the only thing that I don't like about them is that they are made in China, but how do you get away from that?

Got my dad a Romeo 7s green dot from psa for a decently low price, and he says it doesn't make the starburst pattern for his eyes the way the Romeo 5 does.
@boydsteenblock13283 ай бұрын
Try using a circle as a target and hold the two circles ( dot and target) concentric to each other. Also, you are asking a close quarters defensive carbine to be a precision weapon. I’d like to see you shoot some steel and see how quickly you can acquire and hit the target. Lastly, don’t focus on the dot like you might a fixed sight. Focus on the target and let your eye center the dot.
@chrisevansgunshorsesranchi6993 ай бұрын
Thanks Boyd I think you are right about using a circle for a target. One of the other comments were to turn down the brightness I think that will help too. It is almost blinding

Dear Sir, I watched a couple videos on both channels. Extremely disappointed you chose to buy an anti-gun, pro Communist sight by Holosun. Holosun supports communism and gun control. Next time, please try to support a company that supports America and not Communist agenda.

@chrisevansgunshorsesranchi699 Let me explain a bit further. HOLSUN is California based. They pay taxes to Kommiefornia... they defacto support gun control. If they were a such great pro gun company, why do they help fund the state which tries to destroy 2A? When they move to Utah or Arizona and support 2A 100%, I'll buy their product. And to be clear, I do my best not to buy or purchase anything manufactured or HQ in Kommiefornia. That is supporting Communism in my opinion.
