I just bought myself a Max 9 pro, took the pistol to the range and used up all my odds and ends ammo. Zero malfunctions. Zero issues. No matter what ammunition I used, JHP, FMJ, aluminum, brass, steel, cheap or expensive. Loved the trigger. Had to learn my sight picture because I was used to a different firearm, but I quickly became accustomed and accurate. Love this little 9mm.

I just asked someone else, but does your trigger have alot of side play. Mine does. Makes me wonder because they said if you took out the mag safety on the lc9s it produced alot of side play. The max 9 doesn't have a mag safety.

A security 9 and an LCP2 had a baby. It looks great by this video. The only baby 9 out of the bunch I shot was the sig p365. It shot smooth and stayed in my hand. The thicker grip for a double stack mag helps. Single stack, thin grips try to jump out of my hand. There are cool new guns out there! Watching reviews doesn't help you choose one. Comment from the other side of the pond, from Germany: Especially with such sub-compact striker-fired pistols, a manual safety is essential. This additional "dingus" in the trigger can never replace a manual safety. In Europe, too, the term "Glock leg" is now known for shots in one's own leg with striker-fired pistols without a manual safety. Every long gun, regardless of caliber, whether repeating or semi-automatic, whether rifle or shotgun, has a manual safety. But with the pre-cocked striker-fired pistols, which are more dangerous due to their shortness and handiness, it is believed that a manual safety can be omitted... In Germany, this danger has now been recognized and almost only the versions of sub-compact striker-fired pistols are offered, that have a manual safety. If the manual safety is placed well for the thumb, it is not a problem at all. With appropriate practice, arming the pistol before firing is an automatic action - my own experience with the SigSauer P365 MS. And that's why only buy the Ruger Max 9 with manual safety for your own safety and that of others! General kudos to Sootch00: Compared to the mumbling, gibbering and slurred speech of some other reviewers in American gun videos, it is a real enjoyment for a foreigner to hear Sootch00's precise, clear, accented and always understandable language and diction! Thank you!

Went with the optics ready hellcat but this wasn’t available. I still think the hellcat looks a lot better and that is somewhat important to me. If I didn’t have the extra coin I would have seriously considered this ruger. Although it isn’t made in the USA the hellcat’s machining and overall feel is pure quality. The only thing I don’t love is how difficult the slide is to rack. My girlfriend wasn’t too excited about it. Can cause a major skin pinch if you don’t watch where the meat of your hand is.

@@jameserickson2523 Ya but can you honestly say that it is a good design? What other modern gun has a breakdown like this one? I like Ruger, but I think this will lead to issues with that plastic "window" failing under heavy use and recoil, this leading to issues with the gun. Just my 2 cents, not saying it's going to happen, but would just prefer a normal breakdown process.
@scotteger6271
@scotteger6271 3 жыл бұрын
@@shojus this is exactly the same as Ruger has made since the first hammer fired LC9’s…so not exactly new technology, but proven to work. I had a LC9s that my wife carried for a while and despite being a little odd compared to other disassembly techniques it never failed. The pin on my LC9s didn’t fall out quite as easily but I didn’t need a tool for removal either…just a firm tap on the hand and out it came. I use a gun mat with little parts trays so never lost it and never forgot to close the window. Ruger does sell replacement pins if it’s that big of a concern, but would probably never need them.
