ATTN: KZbin IS SHUTTING DOWN ALL GUN CHANNELS! I have moved over to Rumble. Others are leaving KZbin in droves as well. All my NEW content is being posted on Rumble and all my old content is being sync'd by Rumble and stored on their servers for preservation. My channel is easy to find, just search for "NFA Review" in the search bar and you can find me and subscribe! KZbin has given me 2 strikes so far on videos that weren't out during their new policy change. In addition they are deleting 5-6 videos of mine a week! They are doing the same to other Gun Channels and even the manufacturers that have channels. It's time we take our viewership over to Rumble! No more scrolling and watching non gun related content while we are logged in, no more fresh content, no more support. They don't want us here and Rumble has extended open arms to us and other free thinkers who aren't afraid to call BS on how far society has fallen! See ya on Rumble! - Adam

That is the best demonstration of the report of a suppressor I have ever seen. I just bought the new Mustang 22 and am waiting for the stamp.

NICE! I think I noticed a little bit of ‘first round pop’, but it’s nowhere near as bad as my Ryder A. Speaking of which, I have learned to try to only use plated bullets, as lead really sticks to the baffles. But if you want that 3 ounce can, you’re going to have to have aluminum baffles.

I have a couple of "old" AAC Element II's, SOTA at the time and for years. Shot it the other day along with my Oculus, Ruger SR, DA Mask, Liberty Regulator and a few others. The Element II, with its lightweight construction, is still a hell of a performer. The others were a tiny bit quieter at the ear but from 20 yards away no one there could really tell the difference between any of them. Of course I'll be getting one of these!

Meh, I’d rather have another Oculus…….hopefully that won’t be discontinued. I do have an all aluminum suppressor that I periodically clean in my dry media vibratory cleaner, same as my brass for reloading. It gets them clean enough.

Titanium and aluminum have a problem that I hope the coating will stop from happening. Otherwise, I like that suppressor.
@pauljones97463 жыл бұрын
And what problem is that?
@Friedbrain113 жыл бұрын
@@pauljones9746 Galvanic action. The aircraft manufacturers had to deal with it by coating the aluminum to prevent the problem.

@@Friedbrain11 Maybe early on but most titanium these days is not truly 100% titanium. Its a Titanium alloy. Either 3AL/2.5V or 6AL/4V which has Aluminum and vanadium mixed in with it.
@Friedbrain113 жыл бұрын
Those alloys are made for the machining process. The galvanic action still occurs. Hence the coatings are still needed. I have machined pure and alloy titanium and even the alloys are still a bit of pain in the rear LOL.

I wish you had DB readings, i kinda am trying to pick a suppressor for the first time and well, im kinda going for a oddball type. One thats short and effective. Right know im choosing betwee the aeris, armstac cover, and this one 4 inch monocore, forgot the name of it and then the switch back. If you can find db readings id apretiate it.

I definitely need to get one of these! - Still have my first 22 can in jail. I am all for suppressors coming in colors other than black. And I'm quite a fan of bare naked metal suppressors. However, I'm really struggling with this FDE craze that is sweeping the suppressor market. I like FDE on guns and gear, but it just makes the suppressor look like turd.

NFA Review. Do you have an recommendation for a small lightweight suppressor for the tomcat 3032 with the threaded barrel. When I was originally looking at the gun I was looking at a small almost keychain sized suppressor. I cannot however find the article I was reading to see if it was a good suppressor as it’s been quite a while since I looked at it originally. Any help would be appreciated thank you very much. If anyone else has any suggestions I am open to them as well. Thanks guys

How does this directly compare to the occulus? Is it quieter, louder? I might go for it if it's quieter or the same as occulus, but if it's not...no way.
@gsyoung542 жыл бұрын
The Rugged website has sound levels for both suppressors. The Mustang is only a few fractions of opne dB quieter than the Occulus, nothing that the human ear could tell. You usually need at least 3-4 dB difference to hear any change, and from 20 yards away they pretty much all sound the same.

Thanks for the video. I was skeptical of their claim to have eliminated first round pop and it certainly did in the K configuration on the pistol. It’s really not a big deal, considering they all do but I got a little too excited that someone had discovered a secret. FYI, I recently shot the CGS Siren and the first round pop was hardly noticeable.

Why don't you run a DB meter near the microphone? And show the results on camera?
@nfareview3 жыл бұрын
I have in the past. It takes way too much time and the results were always close to what the manufacturer claimed. There are other T&E services that offer meter data if that's all you're looking for. I like to cover the materials, takedown, special features and then shoot it. My format is what it is because it covers the product in the most complete and concise way possible. Purchasing and calibrating a $10,000 meter only to get numbers close to the manufacture is a waste of my time. I can meter the same gun with the same suppressor with the same ammo and get different numbers on different days. The fact is, unless the suppressor was made in a garage by a fly by night company, they all pretty much sound good these days.

Geez, you can buy a decent gun for that kind of money. What drives the prices up on suppressors?
@korbyn492 жыл бұрын
There is a lot of paperwork, long wait times for paperwork approval, and a $200 tax per item, so the customer base for silencers wants an extremely effective and durable product with an unconditional lifetime warranty. Since there are many barriers to ownership of a silencer, people want to know they will have risk free ownership after they jump through all the hoops. Hence higher prices due to extremely high quality materials, manufacturing, and warranties.
