It’s fun watching toys enthusiasts dissect the aesthetic of new transformers designs! I’m pretty much out on Hasbro at this point unless it’s studio series 86 or an essential g1 character. I’m buying more legends and masterpiece at this point, and super 7 Reaction figures, some MOTU origins but I’m picky, and new wave toys 1/6 scale arcades.

Good episode thanks. Regarding MMC Defensor I’m still sore about there not being any die-cast on Hotspots feet, combiner ports and connections, LED lights in eyes and it is a little light on paint. In addition MMC took FOREVER to complete this set. These things being said of course I’ll complete the set but at this time I’m feeling much much less enthusiastic about making future purchases from MMC after I complete this set which is conflicting because they used to me my favorite company. Kind of sad 🤷‍♂️

I am disappointed in this combiner as a combiner. The individual limbs have been great so far. Hotspot is meh! Not what I expected from this set.

Im washing dishes watching the show. I about dropped dead when Bobby said it! IF YOUR NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING WITH IT, STOP MAKING FANS SUFFER! That hit hard as a struggling dad trying to collect with my sons it's all HASBRO DOES IS CUT CORNERS! I'm sure HASBRO wouldn't hold a candle to remaking the old toys and definitely would hold back the masks the accessories or functions. Plus make us buy the repro labels as well. I agree HASBRO needs to let someone else remake M.A.S.K! I think if they'd somehow work with or let JADA toys make them that would be EPIC! I read a comment from the Orion pax designer under one of the photos of this saying the purple isn’t what it’s gonna end up as. He said they are going for toon accurate as possible so purple will likely end up blue so the color schemes will be changing

Bobberreno . . . regarding the Marvel Legends DEATH'S HEAD that your partner showed, I'm sure it would surprise you to know this robotic bounty hunter made a big impact on our favorite Cybertronians in the TRANSFORMERS U.K. series. How big? He *destroyed* Shockwave. Utterly. Blasted him to pieces! He even went as far as to pull this Decepticon's "brain" out of his head and pulverize it with his bare hands! Furthermore, he helped the Cybertronians defeat a revived Unicron, and prevented the latter from smiting Rodimus Prime on the astral plane. Death's Head almost bested Galvatron in combat, and was poised to cave in his head with his signature spiked mace! Galvatron managed to evade this deathblow only by sheer chance. Death's Head also singlehandedly defeated the tandem of Cyclonus and Scourge, who are no pushovers, of course. How could he accomplish these incredible feats, you might wonder? Well, it's important to realize that, during this time, Death's Head was the same size as - but significantly more powerful or skilled than - the average Autobot or Decepticon. But that changed after his role in Transformers continuity . . . James Khan . . . regarding the different color scheme you noted on this Marvel Legends DEATH'S HEAD figurine: it pertains to his redesigned costume which appeared later, outside of Transformers continuity. Death's Head sported it for most of his adventures in the Marvel Universe. Depending on which artist is illustrating Death's Head these days (truly a very rare phenomenon), both his costume and his body tend to vary in their overall look, curiously. But the newer primary-colors-based design remains consistent. I'd welcome Hasbro adding a variant Death's Head figure that's based on his original appearances in the Transformers Universe . . . something akin to "Anubis" from Mastermind Creations. 😎

@@botvscon I'd recommend hunting down the reprint volumes by TITAN BOOKS, which compile the most important TRANSFORMERS U.K. stories in an oversized softcover format. Death's Head is featured mainly in the books entitled "Fallen Angel" and "Legacy Of Unicron." Although they were published way back in the early 2000s, you'll have a much better chance of finding them compared to the original magazine issues from the 1980s, which weren't widely distributed in North America. You'll probably save a lot of money (and time), too! Good luck! 🙂

With that hot rod, to the right of the price it says 230mm, I guess that's the height, in that same part I think the box dimensions are also shown. 230mm is 9 inch. Glad I went for the xtb defensor, so far at least. This OC version is just too small. And that Orion and Shattered Magnus look pretty good I think. Will try getting those. Do agree with James that the alt mode on Orion misses a front/grill. But I would not have it in alt mode so not the biggest issue for me.

They are rolling these out fast, maybe cause they're smaller they can make them faster.....lol I think we can expect a re-color of Death's Head, it's a no brainer for Hasbro Hasbro "lazy" when doing Delta Magnus??? Small correction, Hasbro is lazy with everything...... 😊 There's silver paint on the mmc Hotspot in the production release. $19,000 for a statue??!!?? Shattered Glass Magnus SHOULD LOOK like Magnus. Botcon used Laser Prime because that's what they had at the time, but it NEVER worked. Hasbro has the right mold and they made the right call to use when they made Shattered Glass Magnus. Hasbro should always been encourage to listen to the fans.

I agree that Botcon has to work with what they had, but it was those limitations that made Shattered Glass unique and impressive, in my opinion. Having every character just be a redeco of their G1 selves is so boring and lazy, in my opinion (again). I think Hasbro made the wrong decision as they aren't being accurate to the source material. It's not about listening to the fans, its about making everything G1 so it sells to impress the stockholders. They don't care about us. But as always, I love the banter. What is you guys thoughts on all of the Cassette tapes from Takara and other 3rd Party Companies?

The MMC tapes are my favorite. FTs look great because of the paint but are still missing some more detail with some of the colors. Takara is decent but they are old now. KFC had a bunch of repaints and varieties but not the best. These are based on companies that have more than 4 tapes. Hope this helps.

The heatboys transforming leo does look good but the only video I have seen so far the foot broke off. So be careful. Maybe loosen up the screws a little. I'm waiting for more reviews to come out to see if this was and isolated incident or is it every figure. I really want Donatello to be good since I'm way more excited to see him turn into a helicopter then Leo into a van. I love the mecha line from heatboys and I know this is a lot lighter since it mostly plastic and not a lot of die-cast metal. But he is a lot larger then the mecha line. Like I said just be careful when transforming him.

I am SO sick of that Megatron mold. I especially hate the quad tread. He should be a traditional 2 tread tank. I Love Death's Head. Was a fan of his before I knew his origins in Transformers. The Blue and Yellow was his colors in his own series. He also had a Megatron/Galvatron moment when he was seemingly killed and took over the body of his killer which augmented his powers ten fold.

Yeah the Orion is actually being designed by agabus the owner owner of agabus and x-transbots but it also may be MMC. But the owner of the store is designing this proper. From what I understand there's going to be a redo on the trailer to make it more comic accurate. Keep your ears to the ground there's more to come soon!

I'm glad they are not doing MASK right now because I don't think they would do it right. One of the best parts back then was that it was a Camaro, a Bronco, a Corvette. No way would they pay to get those rights again. Secondly it would have to be a KIDS toy, meaning it wouldn't impress us. My dream for MASK has always been some RC company picks them up and makes working funtioning RC models. Think Robosen does MASK... I'd get a second and third job just to get em.

Nope neither of those are exclusive The swift lane or the female Galvatron. These are MMC's one is a repaint the second one is there representation of that character. There were no TF con exclusive shown at this con I know that for a fact as I worked on the staff.
