Hi Fun video to watch ….each taking turns to make the dismantling interesting. Seeing the workmanship of by gone days. Thanks Stay inspired to finish. Just wondering …does the 20 year old brother never age?
Those posts and beams would be considered historic and salvageable in north america. It might be worth saving them and then reusing them for a garden veranda or pergola project later.

Those beams will be good, you will see when you take a plane to them . some don’t be sure to separate bad ones the rot and bugs will spread,. Bamboo is easier with wet and I’m impressed with how quickly the snow came off the roof. It is a very great design, and the old tiles were well designed. I worry that the new thin material would hold up like this. Maybe repair clean up and insulate from inside is the way to go. Where was the hammer and axe. Needed for Last two weeks haha right tools work smarter. Triple wedge must have been important part to the stability of building .
I don’t know what that green chart o right side of screen says . That rotten pillar cut shorter to see if measure could be used under house a a pillar if dipped or burned treatment. You will need wide wood pillars there. Test others, too. Cover you piles. When the heat of new season you can let dry out and rotate to keep straighten, inside wood in really like new and will warp, stack flat small sticks every meter or less to air and keep flat, then cover. This is seasoning sides should be turned like meats to stay flat , there is a lotto this saving wood not just piling it for the bugs, so take care of you 1000s of dollaars of goods.
Remember mud walls was easier then cinder block poop house. And removing and disposal is tedious but possible, dont stop this part of project come back again and again.
You don’t need to carry more at a time remember your back and brains not you muscles, some will do will planed. If I remember the floor was still good in there, ok, let the rains work on that mud over night, you use straw that you see there for first layer to stick more then pure clay after dried for second smoother layer, there is an old man who teaches this on other diy channel for a woman who is restoring.
