Overall, very well done, save for the few errors others have noted. I was at Mt. Union perhaps 20+ years ago; the tracks were clear, there was equipment in a carbarn (I don't remember what), and it looked as though the standard gauge part could have been restarted "next week." There were also cleared areas of track between Colgate Grove and Mt. Union, although not continuous. I also saw the road crossing, which looks as though it has been rebuilt along with the highway. I look forward to the revival of the EBT, and hope to be aven a small part of it from my home several hours east.

Yes, indeed, especially the Mt. Union coal trestle. That shopping center, assuming the narrator got his facts right, had no right destroying it, it was one of only 2 remaining. Mt. Union structures.

Hey, why would the EBT Preservation Association allow an establishment of a shopping center that would destroy the coal trestle? How much of the the Mt. Union yard got destroyed by it?

The A.V.I. has a similar bridge over the Little Ark river at Halstead Ks. Built about 1915 or so, abandoned in 1942. It has stood up to coutless floods since then. They just dont build em like that anymore.

The last time at that location where those abandoned EBT Hoppers are, there were a whole bunch of Conrail Hoppers there too and this was in early 2020. I wonder if they all got torched.

Its pronounced aw-wick (aughwick) also the trestle has sat in the same condition as the photo you provided since i was a kid growing up in mt union in the mid 80's through mid 90's so the shopping plaza really didn't have any affect on it

What happened to the steam engines and antique coaches? I rode the train in 1968 and really enjoyed it.

They are in Rockhill/Orbisonia. Number 16 should be back in service this year, the antique coaches have been sidelined in favor of new steel coaches.

Why was a shopping center allowed to destroy the Mt. Union coal trestle?

The last I heard relating to No. 3 was pulled out from its Engine House sometime during 2023. Uncertain if it was pulled out for removal or simply to display with a private group.

At the time of my visit, there was no rolling stock to speak off on the track aside from EBT hoppers. I have seen photos of ex-Conrail hoppers in the yard in the early 2000s, however.
