Is ok if the cable is not in good direction? Sample source in screen and display in ampli? Mistake installation in wall 😥. Hope it's ok
@rckrckrckrck4 жыл бұрын
This is very misleading. You’re pausing the content at different timing intervals and finding motion blur, so it would be very hard to see differences. This isn’t analog. It either makes the digital handshake or not. The only way there would be a PQ difference is if, say, the copper HDMI can’t make a connection at 4k 4:4:4 so you’re getting better color depth from fiber because of better bandwidth at long runs. Interference also does not affect HDMI cables like with analog. Again, these are digital signals made up of 0’s and 1’s. RF interference in analog cables affecting sound and video is a thing, it’s not in digital. Again, either the pipes carry the 1’s and 0’s or they don’t. If they don’t, you get an erroneous handshake and you see nothing. Get a fiber cable for long runs for sure, but you’re not getting different color depth or sharpness if the same throughput is happening on each cable. Sorry, that’s just nonsense and any expert or engineer in the space will tell you that.
@user-gz6tx6yp3v4 жыл бұрын
Exactly it makes no difference. It either works or it doesn't. You cannot improve on it. I always go for the cheapest and sturdier cables and the data bandwidth. Some people spend stupid money.

Nonsense, I can feel the difference In my thetan levels. Without fiber thetans can't transfer. Standard cables really mess with the subluxation of your retinas. Causing advertise health effects. Covid was caused by copper HDMI cables. Don't you care about grandma?

I have a weird question to ask. I've searched the internet, but can't find the answer. I have a Marantz SR7010 receiver and a Sony TV. I'm using the CEC ARC on both. I have HTPC (home theatre PC) to watch movies, PS4, and a WII. These are all connected to the receiver. I don't have cable, so I use the antenna as a reception to the TV tuner to watch local broadcasting. Everything works and looks fine but I have to switch my input the correct input because there is no OSD (on-screen display) from the Marantz. I have all my equipment in a rack that is hidden away, about 60' away from the TV. I'm using a QualGear 75' HDMI 2.0 18Gbps copper cable. It uses to work right, but for whatever reason, it stopped casting the OSD. So I unhooked the receiver for a test and brought it closer to the TV and connected it with a shorter HDMI cable and it works. I'm able to use the Sony smart remote to switch inputs on the Marantz receiver. So I determined it must be a distance issue. So I started researching HDMI cables. So my question is before I spend a lot of money that will give no results. Do you think a Fiber Optic cable is an answer?

depends on the maker. Some 4k signals become questionable at as little as 10-15 feet. Fiber is really only needed at the longer runs or you can buy a powered HDMI. Those use USB power to help with signal transfer

I've had problems with a relatively short run of HDMI (25 feet). I have ARC in both my Samsung TV and my Denon receiver. Getting the audio from the TV back to the receiver via ARC has been problematic. Rather than copper HDMI, I also tried HDMI over ethernet and it has the same problem. Perhaps the Fiber Optic HDMI may be a solution. Anyone know?

@LarHines5 жыл бұрын
Fiber for shorter runs make any sense? Say from 4k dvd player to processor
@ThatHomeTheaterDude5 жыл бұрын
There are cheaper options. but the main reason for fiber is signal strength at longer length. There is a monster fiber cable that is really inexpesive and it is only available in short runs. To get max benefits run a fiber direct from the source to the display and then usually on a 4k player there is a second HDMI out. use that one to go to your AVR. You can run a single cable from player to avr then fiber to display but I would recommend the first option for max benefits

@@ThatHomeTheaterDude Interesting. Is it just my imagination, or was the frame rate / judder significantly different between them? It looked like the Ruipro had more color contrast, but had a hard time syncing frames correctly and thus was constantly rendering a "blurred" image that looks smeared between two frames. In my opinion, that's far worse than a small loss in color fidelity. Not rendering 24p correctly, for example, is a fail.

I purchased this product, but had to return it because they don’t seem to be compatible with AppleTv 4K. They appear to work for awhile, but then they loose video. Restarting brings everything back, but for only awhile and then again they lose video or they completely loose all connection. For that price, I would have thought they’d have tested it with all devices.

Great video... Thany you... I did not realized the difference in copper vs fiber; nor the difference between manufacturers. Now, I am wondering if I should go with a 2.1 HDMI instead of the Ruipro 2.0b? There appears to be little difference in price. However, the Fundisinn Certificated Optical HDMI2.1 on Amazon is new and therefor has few if any reviews. I am buying a new Sony A9G 4k TV. So, the 2.0b should do the job. But, the 2.1 does also allow a higher frame rate at 4K and I have no clue if the Sony TV will operate at a higher frame rate. The 2.1 may be some future-proofing. The Ruipro is more of a known quality. ????? I am leaning toward the 2.1.... Your thoughts??????
@ThatHomeTheaterDude5 жыл бұрын
You said you are buying the a9g. does that have hdmi 2.1? Somehow the 2.1 are relativley inexpensive right now. I would still say go with the fiber 2.0. You should be fine until the leap to 8k comes out.
@NevadaScrubJay5 жыл бұрын
No, it does not have the full HDMI 2.1. But, I do not understand what that limits. My understanding is that somehow some of 2.1 is enabled and it has HDCP 2.3. I am curious about the frame rate (120 Htz) when running it through a computer GPU. Still, we are talking about the processor increasingly pushing more data through the pipe (therefor your difference in the pictures). I am hung up on the 18Gbps, 28Gbps, and 48Gbps stats. I don't want the relatively inexpensive cable to be the link holding back potential performance. How will a 2020 firmware update change things? Your video indicated different performance with different cables. Why??? These are data not analog formats. The only difference should be the diameter of the pipe (18-28-48). I guess I can see a difference between fiber and copper, or twists, or construction? So, which 2.0b cable/company pushes more data than the other cables. Or, even without Sony A9G not having the 2.1 connector, does it still push more data? More data through the cable should mean a better picture. Then the 2.1 is backward comparable. So, the next gen format should not hurt??????

@ThatHomeTheaterDude5 жыл бұрын
adam2562 I heard that one is high quality. Not too many reviews for those out there right now. Dollar wise if you can get great performance for less then I can see a reason to save. Basically these cables are piece of mind to not have to do an installation more than once. I’m happy with mine. Let me know what you think about that celerity.
@adam25625 жыл бұрын
@@ThatHomeTheaterDude So far the Celerity has been great, the picture is great. I'm no videophile, but it was my first setup i put together for our rental properties theater room. I had to go that route after an inferior 50ft line of 18gbps 1080p line was ran by the builder, and i didn't catch it until i tried to run a 4k movie. so, i just One and Done it, their site sold me on them. and i had little time to do research. i liked that it could be installed in either direction, so i didn't have to worry about the installer putting it in backwards LoL. All in all, happy with the purchase, but if i need to do it again in the future i'll definitely give Ruipro a run
