Always loved how the essence of the Kuchiki is about elegance and nobility, which is beautifully reflected in Byakuya and Rukia's zanpakutos. They have the most magnificent and beautiful zanpakuto abilities imo and it suits them perfectly. Splendid victory for the siblings. If you remember the Zanpakuto Rebellion Arc, Rukia's zanpakuto spirit wore something similar to Rukia's bankai fit. Also, big kudos to the people working behind the scenes for bringing this fight to life. The adaptation was pitch perfect, they keep exceeding my expectations every week. Also shout out to As Nodt's VA, what a performance.

During the battle against Äs Nödt, although at the beginning Rukia is able to guard his fear power by Absolute Zero, that does not work once Äs Nödt used his holy form. However, it is Byakuya's words that inspired Rukia and make her able to look straight into the fear and finally able to win against it. that shows how great the character growth for Rukia and Byakuya

so some quick theories/facts. it is believed that As Nodt was in a hospital after yhwach used the auswhalen and he was on the verge of death because of it since As nodt is believed to be a mixed blood quincy (yhwach doesnt like them) yet he spared as nodt. His volstandig Tatarforas means ( Fear of God) in this case 'God' means Yhwach as he said in the ep, he is afraid of yhwach.

And then Byakuya says "Let's protect the Soul Society" which was his last wish to Ichigo in the first part. Beautiful episode, beautiful writing

It's kinda ironic that As nodt was a subject of fear too. He seemed to be in a painful vegetable like state in the hospital and started reminiscing the religion he was taught. He was scared of going to hell because he didn't want to feel pain that was possibly way worse than what he was already going through. Yhwach came to his rescue (even tho his auswählen is probably the reason As nodt is in that condition in the first place) and then from there on he sorta viewed Yhwach as a god but at the same time he was scared of Yhwach taking back the life he had given him.

Isane & Yachiru were shown at the end here + some old creepy dude messing with them that can make his presence disappear from his foe's sight plus their mind, as he said. Yachiru did show good reflexes bc she did get a nice punch on his face but ofc he made her forget what she was even doing. so guy is sounding op with an ability like that. btw it's been soooo long but finally Yachiru is shown this cour lol. in cour 1 she was only shown briefly/5secs picking up Kenpachi's eyepatch that he left behind to fight Unohana in Muken ofc but that's it. she was doing Isane a solid here gathering bedding + medicine sneakily. with Unohana gone/RIP ofc, Isane is doing a lotta hard carrying for 4th division now. she is having to heal 2 Capts in Rose/Kensei at the same time here bc they're in critical condition. & to do "kaidou"/h which is ealing done by shingamis, they actually have to exhaust their own spiritual pressure too to restore a patient's lost spiritual pressure + to restore their body/heal injuries so it's kinda a thankless yet very important job as medic-centric shinigamis of squad 4.

current Byakuya's got Royal Palace buffs too ofc & yes his current shikai can very much be seen on the lvl of his former bankai's ap & petal amount which is amazing for him btw this was in the manga only but when Cang Du talks to Toushirou when he gets bankai back Cang tells him "did you think his Majesty didn't order us to train in using the stolen bankai?" so yes offscreen the Sterns that stole one did try to train to use them at least to the best of their ability albeit using them will never compare to the actual owners understanding of their bankais/the nuances n stuff. so ya with that in mind for As Nodt totally convinced Byakuya must have been using his bankai on him but was wrong shows u without flatout saying that even just current shikai Byakuya is very lethal already. bro didn't move a muscle n ripped open the giant eye cage of As Nodt's casually lol. as Byakuya said he has even better understanding & true mastery of his Senbonzakura zanpakutou overall so As Nodt stealing/having his bankai for a quick min actually did him a favor to realize the true essence of his Senbonzakura & 'go back to the drawing board" so to speak in reexamining his bond with it so it can be stronger & he'll be stronger as a result. ofc Kirio's food & Ichibe's palace of high reishi density perks don't hurt either that he benefited from lol

Byakuya also gained new power after his training, although we didn't see much of his actions in this episode when he helped Rukia Äs Nödt think Bykuya used his Bankai, however, it is actually his Shikai, this indicated that currently, Byakuya could deal similar damage to his Bankai before by just using Shikai, that is showing how difference he is now.

Ichigo is again on his way to descend like a Savior. the outfit he got is specially made by Squd Zero to make sure he is able to pass a total 72 barriers that protect the Royal palace. And to think if Ichigo goes at high speed, he could go pass the distance that will take Flash step for a week in just half days. By applying that maybe we could say his speed is at least around 14 times faster than a normal flash step and he could maintain this for a long time. Clearly, he is the biggest aid Soul Society could expect to turn the tide.

this ep totally captured the insanity, creepiness, horror-vibes, grotesque, disturbing etc qualities of these chapters from the manga & ofc As Nodt himself. it's supposed to make u disgusted n creeped out for sure lol. As Nodt's VA did a superb job nailing the over the top disturbing-ness of what As Nodt really was in the manga which isn't easy to match that but he totally did so big shoutout to him. the "F"/fear shrift is very op/unique it its own right on a mental/emotional tip hurdle to try to overcome so yea very impressive W for Rukia. yes she got some assistance from big bro, him shredding the tons of eyes cage, but she basically did all the work otherwise. Rukia now wield the true Sodenoshirayuki so ya the Royal Palace speedran her maturation progress like it did Renji so THIS is what her shikai was end-gm supposed to get to. able to hit below 0 & even can temporarily "kill" her body bc controlling its reishi. but she can only hit the absolute 0 lvl of freezing for 4 secs. but shit.. alot can get done in battle in 4 secs. so while there's drawbacks or this "high risk but high reward" her body takes the brunt of the danger if something went wrong ofc. but this makes her zanpakutou's ap infinitely better rn than what it used to be ofc so those "risks" be worth it I'd say. she should have all her old named techniques in shikai too which are just stronger now with more spirit energy & better durability, stamina, reflexes etc

I guess we'll never find out what the "K" stood for and they even cut lines from both Bg9 and Cang Du. BG9 was basically pleading and begging for his life and when Haschwalth attack failed to kill Cang du when he activated "The Iron" he said only Yhwach is worthy enough to kill him. I felt like this at the very least shows his loyalty to Yhwach and it was a cool little line for him to say before dying.

Rukia's Bankai Hakka no Togame/White Haze Punishment, it changes Rukia's outfit and appearance during the Bankai activate time, it extends Rukia's freezing ability greatly, once activated, every target within the Bankai range will be frozen by the white light and haze, then shattered to small ice. This Bankai is extremely powerful but at the same time extremely dangerous, been Byakuya described as just half a step wrong and it could endanger the user's life. Among all the Bankai we see it is indeed a special one and also the most beautiful Bankai.

Rukia & Byakuya have come a long way ofc & for Byakuya to matter of factly, & certainly meant it, say "you've become strong, Rukia" meant the world for her. she totally wasn't even expecting that to happen but the fact it did & he said it so frankly she knows he doesn't particularly do that so he must really meant it. he's not one to throw anyone praises so you know it's not just empty bigups/praise by him but it's the flatout truth as he sees it. as he said to her even tho from afar he could sense her spiritual pressure that whole time, it's much greater now ofc, & he had to keep it a buck & ofc wanted to let her know. their sibling bond is only getting stronger & ofc ya it doesn't hurt to let ur siblings hear positive things said about them from ur own mouth sometimes lol. Rukia while she didn't expect him to acknowledge her strength that way ofc def always wanted flatout acknowledgement from him that way concerning her as a gotei 13 soldier too. instead of being the lil sis he needs to constantly protect only, which isn't a particularly bad thing in itself bc it does show love/care, he's telling her let's protect SS together now. so fighting alongside her bro bc she's def strong enough now def gotta feel good/make one feel very proud too n all. she has pride as a soldier too ofc.

Based off what we saw with Rukia and Byakuya, he def. should have lived through Cour 1. A lot ppl said he should of died, but he had a lot of impact in this ep. I think him being there made this part way better and heartwarming. They have really came a long way together. Such a beautiful scene.

And we have Jugram Haschwalth showed us again that there is no "lose" for Yhwach regardless of the battle result on this battlefield. As a Stern Ritter, if you defeat the soul reaper, you will get praise and reward, but at the same time if you been defeated, unable to meet the expectation, then you will be decided as unworthy and killed to make your last value, make Yhwach stronger by return everything from your soul to him. this really showed us why to all Quincies, Yhwach is like a God and you can literally say the race of Quincy exist to serve Yhwach.

Äs Nödt used to be a religious people before he become a Stern Ritter, but at that time his body is weak and he is barely alive, to him at that time, even living is like torture, he is suffering but there is nothing he could do, to living on is suffering but he does not want to die and fall into hell. The one who changed everything is Yhwach, he appeared and saved Äs Nödt from that state, making him able to live like a man again. That is why to Äs Nödt Yhwach is the god he believed in and the thing he feared most is Yhwach disappoint at him and take back the gift, returning him to that hell again.

"Hakka No Togame" is Rukia's Bankai. very beautiful if not flatout the one in the Soul Society that should be called the most beautiful. she gets a dress, crown, becomes icy overall herself etc. it's elegant & very powerful with its ap if she can get it off successfully. in fact she merely activated/busted it out & it cooked As Nodt to an easy 1 shot in his Vollstandig. ofc since she barely acquired bankai you can say it can get better as the yrs go on as was said in SS Arc normally it takes shinigamis 10yrs to master their bankai. not 10 yrs to achive one ofc, but to master its usage down pat after they did achive it ofc. so ya Rukia is frozen still & doesn't have movement in bankai rn so there's drawbacks PLUS as Byakuya said the slightest movement too much or at wrong time when undoing it can cost her life so it's "dangerous" to her in that way just as her powerful shikai can be dangerous to her body. high risk high reward. but its ap is crazy & to just merely activate it & it 1shots As Nodt in his Volstandig into an ice statue that crumbled to tiny bits of ice... tells you alot. I think it's more realistic this way that for her to freshly attain a bankai well it won't be the most op with 0 drawbacks to it. it's circumstantial depending on the foe for sure BUT to already have AP that it does shows that 0 Squad Royal Palace training really did wonders to get her to this lvl in record time

in the manga when Cang & BG9 r gonna be executed by Jugram, Cang actually talks shit back a bit saying "it's easy to stop a blade like urs" bc of his Iron shrift. Cang Du also said I I want his majesty to go do it & kill me, resolute face. so he actually didn't bitch or complain about his fate, just didn't want Jugram to carry it out. meanwhile BG9 in the manga was actually flatout frantic going "yes we lost but, but our vollstandig resuscitated us! we can still fight for your Majesty!!" & clearly scared of the execution punishment instead lol. so despite a robot, homeboy showed much emotion funny enough. that said BG9 isn't lying bc going vollstandig did save their skin & they absolutely can still fight. but going out real sad in base to Soi FOn & Toushirou on 1Hp doesn't help their case to keep them around lol. plus Yhwach absorbs n gets their powers anyways. Yhwach wins no matter what happens to the Sterns fate, sad to say for them at least. Uryuu's was not expecting all that/didn't agree but has to go along with it

As much as I love Byakuya, I really do wish he'd have stayed dead precisely for this moment. I'm probably biased because Rukia is my favorite character, but having Byakuya show up to save Rukia AGAIN kinda takes away from this moment really being her own. First at the Sokyoku, then again in Las Noches, and now here, she's always being saved, whether it's by IChigo, Renji, or Byakuya. For her to step out from his shadow and become her own person, I would have liked to see her come up with a way to counter Tatar Foras on her own and end the fight herself with no assistance. Regardless, the moments they have together are fantastic and a long time coming, though I wish they didn't have to come at the cost of Rukia continuing to be a damsel in distress.

Stern Ritter Äs Nödt, Shrift "F" stands for "The Fear", Äs Nödt is not a physical combat type Quincy but a mental attack type, his Shrift allow him to strike great fear into the enemy's mind if the enemy is weak it will directly cause too much fear and lead to death, and even the strong enemy will cause their body freeze and unable to fight with full potential, under the normal form, Äs Nödt strike fear with his Reishi attack, but when He activates his Quincy Vollständig Tatarforas (神の怯え (タタルフォラス) Japanese for "Afraid of God". the fear power will be enhanced greatly and simply looking toward Äs Nödt's "Eyes" will be invaded by the fear and lead to your heart been burned and suffocate to death. As power will take effect as long as the target has a living neural system, which is why Rukia's true power can't guard this since her neural system is still alive. And in the end Äs Nödt entered another stage of his Vollständig and turned into a monster who looks from a horror movie.

You know I know some people are upset that we never find out what that “K” Schrift stood for for BG9, but I don’t think people realize that we never actually get told that the F stood for The Fear even though it’s obvious. We only get confirmation in Volume 57 at the end of Chapter 501 on page 42 we see Kubo’s little drawing of an F with -ear next to it with a fly on it. Seeing that we didn’t get anything for BG9, I can’t imagine Robert’s will be any better.

Kuchiki Rukia, after training with Squd Zero awakened her true Zanpakuto power and Bankai, Rukia's Sode no Shirayuki technically is not a sword that creates ice to freeze the enemy, it is true power is to control the user's body temperature and creates special buff when the body temperature lower to -18℃, Rukia's slash will cause the enemy's blood freeze and won't come out from wounds, when lower to -50℃, Rukia will freeze the ground she stand. When in Absolute zero (-273.15℃), Rukia's strike will instantly freeze the enemy. Rukia could only maintain Absolute Zero for 4 seconds, this power also causes a huge burden to the user's body so she needs to be very careful, and after using it, she needs to slowly return her body temperature to normal or it will cause huge damage to her body as well, it is a powerful and dangerous ability.
