Will that is a very neat piece of kit for the price. man I can see all kinds of ways you can add great footage to your videos with it! Extremely good review. The orbit and follow features will be great for what you want ti do with it.

Thanks Adam. Its fun to play around with it at the field for a different video angle for the channel. Easy to use too.

Nice job on the review. Drone technology is pretty incredible for a couple hundred bucks.

For sure... It is amazing what these little things will do.

I flew the drone without the phone attached. Works fine, but better fly line of sight..

@ thx for your reply, interesting enough I finally got through to customer support ruko. They said no you cannot 🤯 it does to me make sense that it will operate without phone, as long as before hand download app and calibrate drone and controller very interesting you have had success. Thx for the intel appreciate it.

Nice demo. But - I have an allergy to drones. People want to come out where I fly - and fly their drones with my airplane. I explain that I have suffered a midair with a drone previously - and I am NOT interested. Plus, I never know how responsible the 'stranger' is. I met a gentleman recently who it seems is a very nice and upright person. And I once met a Yayhoo who wanted to fly - and after my little speech - he stayed to visit for a bit anyway. He then proceeded to start bragging about some of his past escapades which may have been criminal. But I can see where your drone (especially camera) can be very helpful for your videos. I hope you enjoy this added aspect of our hobby.

I have drones to make video. I'm not interested in flying. If it would fly by itself that's fine with me. Totally different from RC planes hobby. But it would be nice if my country had drone playgrounds to try things out. Pretty much everything is private or nature reserve. Even were it is allowed I always feel like a criminal. I don't think drone people are the club types like RC planes with their own locations. You can forget about a bunch of folks flying over some farmers land in Europe. So perhaps the government should create some public fields were we don't get instant death penalty for testing out a drone?

Thanks. It's not fun to fly like my planes. But the video I can get from it can be useful. At my field, I treat drone pilots like heli pilots.. They gotta fly the pattern like the planes (somewhat). Or, fly when the planes aren't flying. Lots of communication with all the pilots to prevent a mid air...😎

@@SteffenRC There is a RC club field nearby and unless nobody is there I never fly my drone there. They are different hobbies. Video drones aren't really a hobby. People have one to make videos about their hobby. Although it can be fun to try them out see what crap you bought this time. But I can't say 'oh wow, flying a drone is so much fun' It's rather boring actually. FPV is probably something in between. Not my thing either. Some guys film rc planes with an fpv drone. Ltitle chance you get any useful footage with that Ruko of yours. Speaking of, Ruko doesn't make drones. They buy existing models and ask the factory in China to put their name on. Then you pay double or triple the price on Scamazon so Jeff Bezos can have his half billion yacht.
