So what I get is that is Mario was noticing peaches worries and wanted to ask her, However peach wanted to be alone when Mario and the toads realized that peach was sick and possibly died to sickness. Tho it's a demo. Least we can least gather what is going on.

This is the best Mario horror game I have seen so far! Your playthrough has big speed runner vibes, you have have practiced many hours getting the optimal route down. As for the lore, I noticed the boards were removed, front door seals itself, and "Peach" only came after Not-Mario after getting the lantern. That leads me to suspect that the lantern is a cursed object that requires a human conduit in order to summon "Peach". 🍑👻

Based on the logs, Peach may not have died from just any sickness. She most likely died from an evil curse that looks like a sickness. Perhaps that curse could be related to the "Other Princess" whom could be a princess before her, who had past on by unknown circumstance. That cursed spirit might have killed Peach with the curse as a means to take back her castle and rule it in the form of an evil spirit assuming the form of her recent victim. Luigi might have been sent before Mario to investigate this incident and was trapped in the basement. Unless he had been busy taking care of the ghosts, with Mario arriving at the nick of time to help Luigi overthrow another ghostly threat together. Could it be that "Another Princess" has formed an alliance with King Boo? Or is it King Boo himself wearing the Super Crown as a disguise to infiltrate the Mushroom Kingdom, posing as "Another Princess" from another Castle to negotiate friendly relations with Peach and her subjects, only to plot her murder by poisoning her, which she would then succumb to her sickness, leaving "Another Princess" to rule in her place. All this plot might have taken place while Peach and Mario were away on a picnic. How else could Peach have a long break from her Royal Duties? Because she entrust her royal duties to "Another Princess" whom was King Boo in disguise. With King Boo's plot succeeding thanks to being appointed as the official ruler, he may have taken control of the Super Stars and use it to capture the souls of all the castle occupants, turning it into the haunting castle we see today.

I think i understand everything in this game the turth is: mario tell peach to go outside for a while after he left in 5 years for for very, very, long time latey and peach dies does like "the prince and the pauper" (disney version) king death, and to the peach funeral and all toads too, and luigi is missing in the castle, and after in 5 years later our hero mario is finally coming back to mushroom kingdom and he go the castle to sorry for the princess and is all abandoned, it does like "Too Late.EXE" and "Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey" mario looks everywhere is abandoned and this mario biggest mistake.

I think "Peach" lured Luigi into a trap by asking to hunt some small ghosts. Once lured into the basement she drained him of his soul. "Peach" remembers how Luigi would go into a haunted house for his brother so she had to give him a "Game over" before he realized Mario is Missing.
