Mam, in a flower, if both traits are same, how do we tell that is dominant or recessive?
@MagnetBrainsEducation2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment! It's a great question! Dominant and recessive genes can be determined by the characteristics of the offspring. Generally, the dominant gene will be expressed in the offspring and the recessive gene will be hidden. You can learn more about this in our other videos. Thanks for watching!

Mam can you please tell me the meaning of the statement give below - This led Mendel to propose that two copies of factor controlling traits are present in sexually reproducing organisms.
@MagnetBrainsEducation2 жыл бұрын
Hi there! This statement is referring to Gregor Mendel's Law of Segregation. Mendel's Law of Segregation states that during the formation of gametes, the two alleles of a gene separate from each other so that each gamete carries only one allele for each gene. This means that for each trait, an organism has two copies of the factor controlling it. I hope this helps!

@MagnetBrainsEducation2 жыл бұрын
Hi there! That's a great question. Yes, it is possible to have two different alleles at the same locus on homologous chromosomes. Even if they code for different traits, like blue eyes and green eyes, we would still consider it a homologous condition. I hope this helps clear up your doubt!

Sister agar height trait dominant trait ke sath hai like TT than dominant (tall) hi express hoga.....and height trait agar ek dominant hai or doosra recessive like - Tt tab bhi dominant (tall) hi express hoga ....... But traits agar dono hi recessive hain like (tt) to vo recessive traits (dwarf) hi express karega....

Maam when you do fusion between 2 gamete then form 4 embryo but we know that a pie has 5-6 seed . How?
@MagnetBrainsEducation2 жыл бұрын
Hi there! That is an excellent question! The 5-6 seeds of a pie come from the female gamete, which is the ovule of the flower. When an ovule is fertilized, it forms a seed that contains the genetic material from both the female and male gamete. This is why we get 5-6 seeds in a single pie. I hope this helps!
