The phonics special sounds chart 11 RULES:
"ph" in phone- makes the "f" sound.
"c" in city- makes the "s" sound when a "e,i,y" come after the c.
"dge in fudge- makes the "j" sound and usually follows a SHORT vowel.
"g" in giant- makes the "j" sound when a "e,i,y" come after the g.
