Is Toro playing ghost notes with fingers? Ghost notes are very quiet

The ghost-notes sound very subtle but very well placed. He is a master in the flamenco technique.

I can't stop hearing the first bass hit as beat 1!!! :( I'm going to practice really slowly and count 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & out loud... I hope that helps!

Because the Bass start after. This pattern does not start with the bass on beat 1. This is how flamenco and some latin styles goes. try it slow and let e know how it goes, have fun!
