@@edwardsullivan8369 Right on. I really liked Hell Drivers. They did speed things up to make it look like they were going faster. There was really quite a star list in that movie. Patrick did Danger Man and later Secret Agent Man. He was offered the role of The Saint but Roger Moore ended up with it. Patrick, like Neal Mcdonough would NOT do love scenes with any actresses. Faithful to their Wives. So it limited roles available to Patrick. McCallum later became a Secret Agent in the Man From Uncle and earlier did marry Jill. Baker being offered the Bond role. Connery became Bond. Patrick and David both did TV Spy roles. Spies were popular in the sixties. It was all great TV.

The Property of a Lady was supposed to be Timothy Dalton's 3rd Bond movie as he was initially contracted to do three films. However, legal issues around the franchise's ownership and distribution rights ultimately delayed the next Bond movie for over five years. By the time the next Bond film was released that initial project had been discarded - for a variety of reasons - plus Dalton was no longer interested in a planned reboot of the series as he now needed to sign up to a further four movies. Certain storylines, initially included in Portrait of a Lady, have since appeared throughout subsequent Bond movies in the Brosnan and Craig years.

good job old man... but wish you would have lifted 'I think he got the point' from Thunderball, when the baddie gets spiked! With no new Bond movies on the horizon, this is as good as it's going to get(ha)!

I will be surprised if there is another new Bond movie made I the next 5yrs at least. Daniel Craig totally destroyed the franchise. It has totally lost its way. But I would suggest they base the New Bond on the 007 novels of John Gardner starting with Licence Renewed. I want to see that Silver Beast he drove in it, his beautiful SAAB 900 Turbo. What a sight that would be to see.

I’m not British but 13 Stone 8 would be 190 pounds USA if a stone is 14 LBS. Herbert Lom from The Pink Panther Films. Is this all woman of Straw or is there a second film that has clips from it also. Genius editing and selection of scenes from Woman Of Straw to make it appear like a Bond film. With the Music I almost forgot it wasn’t a Bond film. Sean’s Scottish Brogue is much thicker in the scenes with Herbert Lom.

There is a knock off 007 movie made with Sean's brother Neil. Several 007 actors are in it. Neil Connery's film debut was in O.K. Connery (1967), a James Bond-inspired film.[5] The film was retitled Operation Kid Brother in the United States and is also known as Operation Double 007. It became known for having a number of the original James Bond series actors appearing as similar characters. OK Connery was featured on Mystery Science Theater 3000 (1998) under its alternative title, Operation Double 007

I remember reading that James Bond actor were not allowed to wear suits on his other movies while still in contract as 007 actors. We did not see Daniel Craig wearing suits in his movies other than Bond. Certainly it was not there while Connery started playing 007.

Portrait of a Lady ….. Not The property of a Lady and it was filmed in 1964 not 61 , The script was written in 1961 and the film was going to be a detective movie not a bond movie but changed later due to a script rewrite that was never finished due to Issues with the Fleming Family’s copyright laws on the Books . Then literally over night Sean Connery was asked to do From Russia with love and the Movie was dropped for a Better Script of the Book From Russia with love, Sean agreed as long as he was allowed to do other projects with any other studio , All Parties agreed. The rest is History. Seans salary was paid for the unfinished movie and double the salary for Russia with love, Because he had to drop out of Cleopatra so Richard Burton took his role instead. I would also add most of the clips were nothing to do with Portrait of a Lady but clips from other films added to make it look better,

Nice try, but this is just an edit of other Connery films, including Woman of Straw with GIna Lollabrigida. How could there be footage from Goldfinger and Thunderball in 1961?

Very nice. I wish Sean Connery had come back to play M, but we all knew that M was based on Fleming's mother, so the eventual casting made sense.
