maybe you didn't realize: Mitsuki and Haruka gradually switched places, Mitsuki became Narumi's lover instead of Haruka, and Mitsuki changed from long hair to short hair, and Haruka reversed from short hair to long hair, Mitsuki is strong at first and weak later, while Haruka is weak at first and strong later.

This is really a heartbreaking anime. The only villain if you call it is the driver who cause the accident. I understood the action taken by each one. MC almost off himself by not taking care of himself. The Bestfriend of the FMC was in love with MC and gave up on her dreams to support MC out of his depression. (Sure the action taken were in the wrong. But I didn't see any adult helping them in this situation. If anything the action was out of depression and desperation.) The FMC had to accept she lost years, her love of her life, probably her best friend. and needs to move forward regardless. Each are tragic in itself. No one was at fault just circumstances beyond their control.
