Rumer is more than nowadays "mainstream-artists". She has natural voice, so melodic singing, so beautiful natural face. She will be forever. We love you Rumer!

This is such a beautiful song. Very timely message for this generation of social media and celphone geeks. How I miss the simple life waiting for the weekend to watch saturday morning cartoons, play with friends, appreciate all the simplest things in life unlike today we took everything for granted.

I love this song. I have forgotten those 1950 times, riding bikes with friends, not to exercise, but just to do it. In college a few guys called me Pinball Wizard.after school me and my friends (there were 6 of us) played football, basketball or baseball depending on the season. Oh pong and tennis I was pretty good at, but I was the pre-med musician with a violin in second grade….darkroom in fifth grade. We did ride bikes on the shoulder of real highways. We were immortal back then. I got a few stitches but nothing serious. Five of us became doctors. I played guitar at two of their weddings. Only one of us was overweight. Thanks for the beautifully sung memories.

BEAUTIFUL song!!!! I’ve loved Rumer ever since I seen her in Darrl’s house collaborating with him. This song describes my upbringing in the 70’s🥰😍😘 It’s so different now😢

To see her live is an absolute joy. She met us afterwards. There was about 100 of us. As the queue got down she invited us to the green room. She even passed me a beer from the fridge. I was shaking. Is that allowed for a 60 year old❤

Rumer's closer to Chrissie Hynde than Karen Carpenter bar snatches of her delivery. Whereas Chrissie's sexiness simply grabs you just because it is therefore it exists, inexplicably, Rumer's oh so understated and just creeps up and envelops you. Great song💖

We spend so much time Inside these four walls Watching TV Or lost in technology I need a change of scene To step inside a different dream Remember how things used to be? It’s a beautiful day Let’s go outside and play Let’s run through sprinklers Race a Pinewood Derby Eat cotton candy Drink a Slurpie Let’s look for worms Near a fishing hole Catch a crawdad in a Mason jar Chew cigar gum Trade Matchbox cars Play ball and jacks Let’s ride on our bikes ‘Kiss’ cards in the spokes Go clickety-clack Clickety-clack Clickety-clack We need a change of scene Let’s step inside a different dream Remember how things used to be? It’s a beautiful day Let’s go outside… Let’s run through sprinklers Race a Pinewood Derby Eat cotton candy Slurp a Slurpie We’ll watch cartoons On Saturdays And ice cream Sundays Make real big fun days You’ll make a splash With a cannonball I’ll make you laugh Say, “Hey” like The Fonz Eat pizza and play pinball Go where we want to Do what we want to Go where we want to Do what we want to (Where we want to when we want to) Let’s run through sprinklers Race a Pinewood Derby Eat cotton candy Slurp a Slurpie Let’s dig for worms Near a fishing hole Catch a crawdad in a Mason jar Chew cigar gum Trade Matchbox cars Play ball and jacks Let’s ride on our bikes ‘Kiss’ cards in the spokes Go clickety-clack Clickety-clack Clickety-clack Say, “Hey” like The Fonz Eat pizza and play pinball

This song proves you didn’t write the songs on Seasons of My Soul. Every song on that album was complex and profound. Everything since has either been a cover or insipid pablum. Get back together with Steve Brown.
@Houlgravely4 жыл бұрын
Lol, this is clearly a great Carpenters-inspired cut. The horns are sublime. You think you have the talent to write pop at that level? Nimrod.
@nicolek.36144 жыл бұрын
@@Houlgravely Compare this song, or any other of her songs since Seasons of My Soul, and it's 3rd grade versus Harvard. She obviously didn't write the songs on Seasons of My Soul any more than you or I did. And yes, I do have the talent to bang out trite pap, which is what this song is.
