I can't believe you left all those vintage Christmas ornaments!!!! Shiny Brite ornaments!!!! Come on!!!
@larryboysen59115 жыл бұрын
Those Shiny Brites bring back many Christmas memories!! Wow, they really pull out all the stops in your area...never see any sales like that here. That sailboat pin was cute, would have grabbed that, and used it as part of a craft project...No frogs either!! One of my relatives was in Hawaii during WW 2...brought home a few of those type of figurines. Things from the Islands were very popular then. I have a little gopher figurine wearing a t-shirt, saying "I Gopher You"! That is why I do not care to sell...just collect. Dealers can really get crazy at these sales.

I had a girlfriend that liked this Norwegian enamel jewelry, pretty popular ...the pin is probably worth $30 or so. I think $10 is pretty high for a puzzle but I don’t know...how can you tell if all the pieces are there? I go to a couple shows and pay to get in early , they are good shows and it really pays to get in early. Back from Yellowstone and the Tetons, Mt. Rushmore. Have to tell you that as we were driving up to Yellowstone there are a couple signs that say, "open plain area"...guess who was standing in the open plain??...TWO HUGE MOOSE!! About 100 yards away from each other, was amazing!!! Got to camp late because of them two!! Got greeted at the closed check in area by the biggest Elk I've ever seen, almost unbelievable. Then the next morning I'm walking to the bathroom, wearing a ball cap and kinda looking down and get to the bathroom door and see a hoof!!!!! A female elk blocking the bathroom door!! I quietly said "good morning" and backed up and went and got my camera, lol. Came back and she had moved about ten feet, still got the picture in of the ladies room sign and the elk in it. Lol. Went to Shipshewana flea market on the way home yesterday. It was amazing. It's an Amish town, lots of horse and buggys, population 704 but the flea market is amazing, especially the antique auction barn. Some amazing items and prices, just wow. That entire road is full of different stores and on your way out lots of yard sales along the way. Flea market is ONLY on Tuesday's and Wednesday's, closes end of September. The outside flea market is mostly newer booths, homemade items and homemade food items, but stuff you might not find elsewhere. Estimated 200 tent booths outside! A hippie bag I paid 35.00 for six years ago in DC, I paid 8 bucks for at this flea market. Really good prices. They also have a cattle auction. It's all very interesting and was worth the time, except it was HOT! Tetons and Yellowstone were 30 overnight and 50's during the day!! Great camping weather!! P.s. I said hi to the Moose from you! 😉😉
@PaperandMoose5 жыл бұрын
Your story made me so jealous!! How lucky that you were able to see not only one moose, but two!! That's hilarious there was an elk in the bathroom, the wildlife there always make for some of the most memorable stories. Where is the Shipshewana flea market located? My next trip out West I might have to venture to it, it sounds like it has a great mixture of not only the flea market but also the town. I miss Yellowstone now... I need to plan a trip out there in the Fall!
@TheVintageBumbleBee5 жыл бұрын
@@PaperandMoose yeah, was an awesome trip. Actually Shipshewana Indiana is only 9 hours from Allentown. I think you live in Jersey? Was calculating it from Taco's travel convos. I heard the best prices will be the last week, since everyone will close up for winter. I think we r gonna go back that last weekend, it's about 10 hours from Va. You need an ENTIRE day or more for everything. Also, I'll send you a pic of the elk at the bathroom on IG messenger when I get my pics loaded. Right now it's two weeks of LAUNDRY! 🙄

Nice score on the blow mold pumpkins. That's really a niche that is exploding right now as the older Halloween stuff gets prohibitively expensive for the average person.
