To me this has always been that ONE TUNE that completely captures the essence of Spanish Guitar

Superbe maitrise de l'instrument ,les notes que tu décoches à la vitesse d'un archer nous transperce avec ravissement quel plaisir de t'écouter et te regarder jouer.

It must be more than 40 years now that a friend of mine showed me how to play this piece... "Rumores de la Caleta" (I remember it well) that he learnt it from a colleague, student of classical guitar. Well let's say that we tried to play it because any similarity with this performance was not even pure coincidence. We were stuck on the fast legatos after the first measures...;-) Then we could continue with the resolution phrasing to the root chord, enjoying that Spanish & Moorish flavor. This was in the Basque Country, North of Spain...;-)

The guitar is a truly amazing instrument limited only by small thinking and competence limitations. This piece belies all of that in your capable hands, sir. Thank you, all your Albeniz pieces are incredible indeed.

Some interpretations are too vanilla. Some too wild off the charts. Yours is a perfect balance! Thanks you so much. The last section was by far the hardest part for me (both to memorize and get the melody, and play. But so rewarding once mastered.

The finish on that guitar! My OCD unfortunately would not allow me to play something as beautiful as that, as I would be in constant fear.
@danielibnz8 жыл бұрын
+Mrfujimata2 Being curious, I googled OCD and found Obsesive Compulsing Disorder... Is that what you meant?
@Mrfujimata28 жыл бұрын
Daniel Ibanez Yes, it is. For me if something is not perfect I am fine with it, but when something is umblemished or brand new I sometimes have a fear damaging it - more than the average person might care. :) Cheers.
@danielibnz8 жыл бұрын
+Mrfujimata2 Uhm... I think I could have something of this too... I would like to play perfect (say much better) but I simply can't... I've been 42 years working on companies where I gave almost 24 hours a day... not an excuse because I doubt that I could have been a very good professional player (simply a good or a decent one...;-) Yet I guess this is a limitation for most of the people, excluding brilliant players such as Michael and some few others. Thanks.

Excellent work. I am starting classical guitar and would like to record on video like you do. In order for the nylon strings to be heard clearly, do you use a particular microphone, software (garage band), and video software? My video recorder on my ipad2 does not seem to pick up much : ).. Thanks and and greeeting from Chicago.

+Dan Reichart Thanks Dan! it was all pretty high end studio gear. Luthier, Michael Thames did the camera and audio. You might ask him what the mics and pre were. I did the post in Final Cut and Protools. Good luck with your project!
