Also, with twins, I was advised to try to eat more/gain more in the earlier stage of my pregnancy because at the end, it is hard to eat as much as the babies take up a lot of room. In my case, that ended up true....eating towards the end was a challenge. As hard as it is, try not to stress about gaining too much. Your body will intuitively know what it needs.

Ultrasound tech here! Each baby in the first trimester is attached to what’s called a Yolk Sac. It kinda looks like a circle/halo. A lot of people, who are not familiar with ultrasounds, can mistake it for another baby. The photo you have (the one that’s in the thumbnail) shows baby A without the YS (because of the angle of the camera) and baby B WITH the yolk sac! Congrats Colleen!!

I'm so proud of your mindset this time around during your pregnancy. I remember how you described how tough all the body changes were for you when you were pregnant with Flynn and I'm so glad you recognize that reasonable weight changes are not physically important when you're pregnant. When you're in your first trimester you do need a huge caloric intake increase, especially with multiples because your body is adding the extra blood into your system for the babies and growing TWO EXTRA ORGANS TO KEEP THEM ALIVE. The only people who should be monitoring your food intake is you and your Dr.

Or a nutritionist. Here's my advice: Bagel, pop tarts, grapes, all are composed of mostly carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are absorbed fast, especially if they're not whole grain.Try adding some protein, so that you stay full longer. Maybe add an egg, or peanut butter or yogurt, cheese, legumes, etc. :)

I get really jittery when I eat a lot of carb heavy things without balancing more evenly with veggies, fats and proteins. Could by why you are getting shaky. Your body could be telling you to eat more proteins which keep you full longer too!

Re: pride clothes. I think Target has done a good job in diversifying their models and providing clothing for different bodies, so I am more willing to give them the benefit of the doubt about their intentions with pride clothes. As for wal-mart and amazon, I’m pretty skeptical. I think it’s them trying to make a profit more than them supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. Though I think your right about the impact it could have on someone who is not yet out. I think a cool way to support the LGBTQIA+ community would be to find people of that community who are creating pride wear and buy from them!

As a queer woman, I have mixed feelings about rainbow pride stuff. I try to buy pride stuff from queer creators. Or I look for campaigns that donate portions of their proceeds to lgbtq+ organizations because otherwise they’re just trying to make a profit whether they really support or not. I question big companies because there can be a lot of things that don’t align with my values going on behind the scenes, or they’re super contradictory. I try not just give into “Rainbow capitalism” because it is a huge thing that they do just to make more sales without actually giving back to the community. However, I totally agree that it’s amazing to see and it’s uplifting and makes my heart happy and we need queer joy. It makes a big impact and I want to see that impact beyond storefronts, if that makes sense. 💕

Yes, this was my first thought when she was talking about this as well. Most corporations come out with pride merch just out of the opportunity to capitalize on it. With very little information on how they, as the corporation, are taking action to support the LGBTQ+ community. It’s just a slippery slope that can come off as performative activism. 🤷🏻‍♀️🙅🤷🏼‍♀️

Morning sickness sucks if u cant eat they reccomend little but often. But the rumours that u need to eat twice of three times as much as your eating for 2/3 is bullshit, you only need to eat an extra 200/400 calories.

i don't know why anyone would critique this i think its a good thing cause they're twins and twins can end up being born early / be very small, but not if she keeps eating like this! when my mom had triplets her doctors told her to eat a lot more during the pregnancy so some of my siblings were even bigger than me when they were born! and the pregnancy was literally like 2.5 months shorter something

The thing about pride, it's true that we should acknowledge how far we've come and how great it is that they're trying, but some companies do it just to say they did and to profit off of it. It's not just about them not being cute, it's about them not getting members of the lgbtq+ community to design them, not donating to a charity, etc. Again, it's amazing that we've come this far and we should be proud of the representation we're getting, but we gotta call them out when they're just trying to profit from it

Yeah I'm the youngest if my family and my mom was pushing for hours and the doctors told her shes not coming you will rest tonight the tomorrow morning you will have a c-section so it could be considered emergency c-section but not really. Apparently my sister was fairly easy for being the first birth my mon did but apparently me and my sisters heads were big😂
