I agree. It's that chemistry that made fans want them to be a couple, but on-screen chemistry doesn't always mean a relationship will work. Plus, it can ruin shows and films; just ask J-Lo & Ben's Gigli and Ben's Batman movie. Chris was smart to keep them apart and ride the tension. Here's that Golden Globes clip, and to me Gillian could just as easily be turning away from the camera because David brought her up & the cameras went to her. Ok, I never saw it as an eye roll. She looks bashful and maybe a little embarrassed/ashamed that she forgot to say something about him. He escorted her to the Golden Globes that night to support her after she announced her divorce. When she won, David was the first person she turned to and kissed him square on the lips. You can tell they loved each and there was a lot of sexual tension, but any two people working so much together, regardless of how much they adore each other, are gonna have fights. I've been with my husband for 19 yrs, and we rarely argue, but if I had to spend that amount of time with him, that David and Gillian did, we would argue all the time.

Yes I agree with you! That theory is utter rubbish. What happened was she won her award first and forgot to mention David in her acceptance speech. Immediately after her award, David won his. She was waiting in the wings just off stage while he gave his speech where he thanked her for being the best co-star. The look on her face was one of chagrin/embarrassment for having forgotten to thank him in her speech, like she was kicking herself.

I think it has been great and they don’t sit there and bash each other like so many other people have but to each their own. I will always be a huge X-Files and David fan and he is tremendously talented, obviously. He is one of only a few men to win a Golden Globe for a comedy and drama series!

No romance doesn't mean no "relations". Juliana Margulies accidently outed them a week or so ago that they hooked up before the show even got picked up. So around auditions and the pilot. Apparently, it is a well know "secret" around Hollywood. And this was way before she got married and he met Tea Leoni. I feel like they now have an Alterous relationship. Which I absolutely love. In the behind the season of Season 11 they say "I love you" to each other and then David realized after that it was caught on camera. It's great they have such a close friendship now.

Crying and telling him about it.They fell in love when they started shooting. They decided not to make it public. They kept breaking up and getting into fights 'cause he can't keep it in his pants and sleeps with every woman ever. So after years of on and off, she decided no. I'm not gonna be with him at all, but they still are in love with each other. He refers to her as his first wife, hence Californiacation entire plotline. "He's desperately in love with his first wife." Is what David described the show as right after he broke up with Tea Leoni. This was during one of The X-Files panels for the second movie. Gillian just stared off to the distance like she didn't want to acknowledge what he was saying. Then when the show was a massive hit, Gillian had the power to negotiate for fair pay. There’s nothing nefarious about that. However, her having to fight for equal pay during the revival was ridiculous. Without her, there is no show. A 50/50 split was the only answer.

She can definitely pull of the high society British accent without flaw but I would like to see her as a Russian czarina speaking with a Russian accent and in the language that would fit perfectly for her. She would have made and excellent cercie in GOT or Katlyn Stark in the TV series on HBO. Shes definitely versatile as an actress and she like David is intelligent and independent and knows what shes looking for but shouldn't pass for a villain or a protagonist.
