What a great story. We are fortunate to have an organization like Rumpke who is committed to reducing the land fill and recycling material so we can use it again. THANK YOU RUMPKE!

To the Rumpke family.. you have created a great business. Me and my family own and operate a landfill services business (we are located in central OH) and I would like to send an email to someone at Rumpke with a brief introduction of our business to see if we could provide a quote on any upcoming projects. Thank you and God bless

Thank you for this video. Could you please tell me how harmful it is for your facilities to receive trash together with recyclable materials? I noticed a lot of people put plenty of trash (food waste, clothes, debris, dirt, etc) in the bins and I was always wondering how you dealt with it. Although the video says everything that cannot be recycled is taken off the belts but what about the food waste, dirt, etc?

Unacceptable materials, like food waste, clothing, bed sheets, garden hoses, wood, etc. will be transported to the landfill. We don't accept scrap metal but we get it. This will be removed from the lines and taken to a company that recycles metal. We are not equipped to handle scrap metal. It could be harmful to our employees and it damages our equipment. If the material is really dirty, it could be an issue. For example, when people do river clean-ups and retrieve plastic bottles and aluminum cans from the river they are often very filthy on the outside and the inside of the containers. We don't want these. They would be unacceptable to the end users.

Thank you for your interest in Rumpke! Positions have different age requirements. To be a CDL driver, you must be 19. Some positions we have, you can be 18. The age requirement is listed on most job descriptions. Thank you!
