i listened to this song for the first time during a serious breakup, and had a meltdown. its like my ex was talking to me through the lyrics, it hit so hard. ive moved on since then, i even have someone new who is just so great its unbelievable. but i cant help but take a walk in the past whenever i listen to this song. just looking back on how sad i was, to how happy i am now; its opened my eyes. healing comes with time, im still getting there, even now. but it feels oh so good.

When this album came out in 2015, I was such a different person. I had wrapped up freshman year of college and had a lot of ups and downs that year. When I came home for the summer I was looking forward to "reset" with some of my old hometown friends, but I realized that those friendships just didn't feel the same as when we were 10, 13, 16... We just couldn't vibe like we used to anymore and that really hurt me at first. I thought they were the bad ones. But I realized that people--including me--change, and that's not really a bad thing. One thing I learned after freshman year and throughout the rest of college is that people are never constant (they shouldn't be!), and your own goals and dreams change too. The important thing is that we always progress and move forward. Stagnation is never beneficial. Here I am 5 years later working full-time staying up late on a company project listening to old songs that used to (and still) give me comfort during times of stress and uncertainty.

You know what I kinda hate... Is when you had a bit of a crush on someone for a few months, but now that you can't see that person anymore because of quarantine, you start to question if the feelings you have really are genuine. Or if you're just in love with the idea of falling in love. So you try to force those feelings out but then think that it's wrong because maybe they feel the same way, but you're too scared to tell them anything about that because it might make things weird. So you just decide that when you can see them again, that's when you'll decide if your feelings are real or not. (and that's on wanting someone to love u) :(

Damn I can relate to this, I've had a crush on this guy for at least 5-6 years. Everybody likes him, every guy wants to be him and every girl wants to be _with_ him. I had never thought of him really before, until my friend pointed out the fact that he was staring at me, A LOT. Then we sat next to each other in class for 2-3 years and I fell for him hard. He's beyond beautiful and just a really easy person to get along with. We talked every single day, he'd always try his hardest to make me laugh or smile. I found that to be weird. First guy to ever do that! We had our own jokes and all. One time when I was entering class he touched my hair (???) in a way I wouldn't have ''noticed''. He acted as if nothing had happened when we got to our seats, we never spoke about it. I remember another time when I was waiting for my friend to get out of class he saw me and asked why I was still at school and we had a conversation. Strange. Anyways... our class split up and we ended up on different classes. We haven't spoken since 2017. I miss him a lot and I still have feelings for him because I just can't let go of what we had, no matter if he had or didn't have feelings for me. School just started up again and we ended up on the same class. We haven't talked yet and I am afraid to. This is our last year together and I know we'll never, ever end up together and that hurts me. I don't know if we'll even talk. He's the only guy I've had a crush on and he's probably forgotten about me, but I haven't forgotten about him.

Reminds me of realizing a toxic relationship and having to be the one to call it out. That feeling of having to explain to someone that no matter how much you love one another, if you stick together you'll both go up in flames. i used to love my friends, i used to cherish our moments together. and the feelings changed after we stepped into another phase of life. Made me realize, we're growing up ,meet different people in our life that changed us.
This song reminds me of me and my dad. He helped me grow so much from when I was a kid. I need to get my footing under myself but I’m starting once more to believe in myself after what happened. My dad’s house blew up and flames engulfed his house which I grew up in. This was December 8th now a little over a month after my grandma, his mom passed away. A divorce and his brothers death to pancreatic cancer in the last 3 years as well. He’s stayed strong everyday and I can see us growing. I love the man to death. Love you dad❤
