That's awesome !! I really love the instrumental he plays at 2:18 (and the clear sound of the guitar)! He was already a great guitar player before joining WASP !! Thanks so much for posting this video ! :)

He did part of Nuno's solo way back then, right after he first came out with that piece. Dug was fucking awesome. I saw him live back at Rocky Point Park way back in 87! He used to do early Eddie material so well. He really was a great player. I still remember the band. Stet Howland on drums and "Jimmy Carter" on bass! I tried out for the band "Rockestra" who opened for them. I would have opened for Run 21 and partied with them. I declined the offer and regret it to this day.

His biggest influences were George Lynch and Ronnie Le Tekro, at least at that time they were. He used to go on and on about those two guys in particular in our lessons. I still have the old TAB he used to write out. He would always write "god" instead of George Lynch when he transcribed G.L. solos. LOL

Yeah ! Frankenstein was one of their famous cover they performed at some shows. I'm surprised I have seen no cover in this show, it seems all songs are originals.

Yeah, he had all sorts of sequencers and MIDI this and MIDI that. You can actually see him kick the pedal to start the background music during the live solo. As far as the keyboard during the songs themselves, he and Jimmy had keyboard pedals on the floor and they would step down on the corresponding pedal for whatever key they were in and hold the pedal down. It's like taking one octave of keys on a keyboard, enlarging them, and putting them on the floor for your feet.

To me it's like there is some Nuno Bettencourt in his guitar playing (at the beginning)... Have you heard about a song called "Frankenstein" ?

Can't recall any "Frankenstein" song unless you mean the Edgar Winter song.

As you says in US : OH BOY ! You mentioned Doug Blair's solo unaccompanied... but you can hear some keyboards ! (I believe I have an idea how he did that ! :) ) Could you explain ?

Who covered it Doug ? or Nuno? He is a big Nuno fan by the way...He thanked him on the Dominator record. They've been good friends a long time..I remember going to a guitar clinic (years ago) with Nuno and Doug was hanging out with him.
