Replenish glycogen stores especially after key sessions. Practice race fueling. Strength train, mobility exercise, massage foam roll stretch, core workout. Negative split racing.

Many recommend to take a gel right before race starts. If you have already taken breakfast like 3 hr ago, any benefits to still take a gel before start? Should it be caffeinated or.not? Tqvm

@@livegreatalways Gels are good to take around 20 mins before a race and every 30 mins during! Caffeine is up to you, I personally don’t (I take carb only) as my stomach sometimes is a little funny on them but if you are good with them then they are really good!

I've got me first half marathon next Sunday. The most I've ran is 9.08 miles. Tonight I want to aim to 8 to 10 miles

@@becks33 Amazing, good luck!!! If you have an 9 miles before then you should be very confident! Race day will bring extra energy! If you need any help or advice I am always happy to help! Good luck!!

@@becks33 Awesome! Keep it simple with fuelling, carbs the night before but no need to over eat! Keep hydrated two- three days before also!

@@becks33 Slightly bigger than normal sized meal. Don’t overthink it, just ensure you have plenty of carbs with your meal! In the day- dependant on the start time, I would have a bowl of porridge!

If i want to run an all out 20 min parkrun each week and can fit in at least 3 one hour runs, how would you structure those?

@@fishyian I would say do: 1 x long run, 1 x easy run and 1 x track/interval session! Good luck 🤞🏻
