People just don't know how groundbreaking this group was. I remember EXACTLY where I was when I first heard Sucka Emcees. Prior to Run-DMC, rappers were rapping to break beats of old disco records. They brought rap out of the disco era. The gear also changed. Lee jeans, shell toe Adidas, Fedoras, and big rope chains. Dope! I miss those days.

Even here in the UK, Run DMC were LOVED. They were refreshing, original, and all about the music. They were groundbreaking. Some Music Magazines even wrote sarky articles about them, not understanding or realising just how bigger impact they’d make on the hiphop industry and community. Brilliant group of artists. I certainly had the cassette tapes 😜 & vinyl, then CDs, then Mini discs, then it was all digital/electrical. My ghetto blaster had batteries 🔋 the size of coke cans 🤣 🤣 but hell, what cracking memories listening to their music years ago, and still in the present, and will do in the future. Cuz it’s like that, and that’s the way it is !! 🇬🇧
