Im looking at joining the coast guard and im not fat but severely out of shape i want to do the run faster program and your prep for the military program would you recommend running those two at the same time or complete one then do the other
@GrittySoldier9 ай бұрын
Don’t do them at the same time, do the mil prep and then run faster. That should provided solid progression. You can also use the app, it’s a bit more flexible if your looking to stack programs: my.playbookapp.io/gritty-soldier

Just started this program for my 2nd time! I finished the first 6weeks last weekend and took off about 2minutes on my two mile for the ACFT. (I also had not been running for months so a lot of that could of been just from running again)
@GrittySoldier10 ай бұрын
🤘 I use this program myself to kick me back into gear with my speed. Works like a charm. Don’t forget to leave a review of your program for us!!! 🤜 🤛

Will do! I only followed the running portion of the program but it mixed it very well with my lifting program I follow. Great stuff!

I love your content sir. I am commissioning as a physician assistant (go in as O2) with no military experience. Could you make a video on your experience with physician assistants in the Rangers and what exactly they do especially on deployments? You could also add in other medical specialties to the video to broaden your audience. Thank you so much, there is no information on PA’s in the rangers out there!

from the internet: The 75th RR (65 Delta) PA’s are commissioned officers (hired by the Regimental PA) trained and certified to practice primary or specialty medical care with significant autonomy. They focus on the management of illness and injury, disease prevention, health promotion, and may also provide minor surgery and wound care, and will deploy to austere environments with their Battalion. They also serve as the primary trainers for SOCMs and other assigned medical personnel for sustainment training. They provide guidance on health threats, MEDLOG, and mission planning. During deployments and exercises, the PA’s role expands to include forward casualty care and medical operations. There is one 65D assigned to each of the regiment’s batts: 75th RR HQ (Ft Benning, GA) RSTB RMIB 1st Battalion 2nd Battalion 3rd Battalion Further requirements for the 75th RR (65D) PA are 1 to 3 years experience as a PA, preferably with combat deployments. If not already qualified, candidates must attend and successfully complete the Army Basic Airborne and Ranger courses prior to assignment. Previous Ranger 68WW1, CA 68WW4 or 18D SFMS is preferred, but Airborne and light infantry experience is a plus, and the regiment is willing to train promising candidates. New hires must attend the 3-week Ranger Assessment and Selection Program 2 which includes a ** 12-mile rucksack (45 lb) march (must be completed within 3 hours); a 5-mile run (completed within 40 minutes); the Army Physical Fitness Test (score must be at least 270 using criteria for the youngest age range); a complete psychological evaluation; and a formal board interview.** ** or current standards Best of luck in your service!!!

Hey gritty is it safe to do these running exercises where you over exert yourself? It seems people are dropping like flies these days from intense exercise so i dont wanna risk it even though i love exercising. What are your thoughts?
@GrittySoldier10 ай бұрын
Overexertion is optimal for improvement. Keep the nutrition up, and watch the supplements you takes the body it capable of amazing things, just make sure to listen to it when something doesn’t feel right. Prioritize recovery just as much as your workouts.

Hey sir! I bought your running program & I’m about to start it tomorrow. Do you recommend doing the running first then the strength training later that day or does it matter which one I do first?
@GrittySoldier10 ай бұрын
It won’t make a huge difference either way, but I would say if you’re looking at a day that involves max effort running, like sprints, do those on the front end.
