In spite of the rain, it was still an awesome event and worth the trip. Next time I'm bringing a train to run. Hanging out with my train buddies was an added bonus.
@dagryffynhobby2 жыл бұрын
Always fun hanging out. You should bring an engine next time. For me, I’ll continue to watch, film, and resist the urge to use a remote!

That double-header coal consist steam engines with the dogbox tenders is super cool. 😎👍👍 I love the rail sounds of the AMTRAK too.

It was cool watching the double headed coal draw, 42 cars if I remember correctly,

Now that WAS a 'Run for Fun' video, Dave! Lots of great consists on a great layout, and cool scenery! That omnipresent coal drag was really impressive. Did any model tickle your 'Got to have' sensor? Lots to see and enjoy!

That early Amtrak train is too cool. I remember seeing that when I was in grade school.

Such a great place. I also enjoyed the Amtrak. It’s even better when you see models of trains you remember from being a kid. Good stuff!

Awesome video! Was certainly was one of the greatest layouts I have ever seen! Very nice to meet you as well!

I don’t know if I’ve seen an O gauge layout like it, maybe an HO layout, but that’s just not the same. Great meeting you too.

FYI Keep an eye on your YT subscriptions, I usually watch the weeks the new DAGH videos early Saturday morning with my son, so I usually have a list pop up without having to search for the name of the channel and all is good......for some reason YT unsuscribed me from a bunch of my regular stuff I usually watch and it keeps reccomending stuff I could care less about.....if you have a channel you like support them and keep an eye on if your still subscribed.......I need my weekly fix of seeing o gauge trains run and digging through junk boxes for stuff to fix while all my own stuff is all packed away for another day. Love the content Dave, you and I have the same varied interests and realistic thoughts on this wonderful hobby...I cant wait to free up some extra space at home and transition from "junk collector" to "toy train operator" while my boy is still young😉👍

Super video, Dave. Two things really stand out for me. 1. How beautiful those scale steamers are. 2. How quiet Atlas 0 track is. Three rail 0 gauge is not quiet with its all metal wheels and tubular track. This layout really did a great job sound proofing and using Atlas track.
@harryhenninglll1172 жыл бұрын
Ronald thank you for the comments. Most don't realize how quiet our track is and how many tests we did. It's nice to just hear the trains and there sounds
@dagryffynhobby2 жыл бұрын
I hadn’t even thought about the noise but now that you mention, definitely a quiet setup.

Dave thanks for posting the video. Excellent job on the video. I thank you for joining us. Next time I am going to hand you a remote again and let you run trains.

Thanks Harry. I have a fear of remotes! Nick tried a few times but I wouldn’t take the bait! Haha.

O gauge train nirvana in PA.
@jasonrackawack93692 жыл бұрын
Its a blessing and a curse here in the Lehigh Valley PA....so much to see and do with alot of train shows....so little time and money to do it all LOL! It helps the Lionel post war era factorys in NJ and Plasticville from Bachman in philly are not too far away.....lots of stuff pops up at yard sales and flea markets yet. Trick is to try and get it before the eBay resellers/flippers grab it all up.
