Run GitLab as container in Docker-desktop on Windows

the cut hides something. what´s happend to the \\wsl$ line? I´m looking for days now to get this working on a win machine, but unfortunatly this approach also doesn´t work for me :/

how can I create gitlab_home on my docker, bcs im stuck there. can you tell me how I can create that? great video btw!

you can set GITLAB_HOME in your wsl session pointing to whatever folder you want. Then change the command to include $GITLAB_HOME in the docker run command. That way instead of creating the logs in docker owned folders it will use the GITLAB_HOME path. Its on that website as well.

it works well now! but, when I try to generate initial_root_password. it says "there's no such file or directory" @@raaviblog105
