I live in Rochester, about an hour away, and we don’t get lake effect the same way here. Every now and then if the wind hits a specific direction, but it’s pretty rare.

It’s fucked up, and it sounds like a lot of fans and the Bills organization are working together to try and help her out. This is absolutely not me victim blaming, everyone should have the right to take their families to games and not have awful shit happen, but as a parent and a sober person I would really recommend parents think twice about taking little kids to night games at Highmark, especially in the upper decks. People literally start tailgating 12 hours before kickoff, drinking culture in Buffalo is INTENSE and I’ve seen so much horrendous out-of-control behavior from drunk Bills fans throughout my life. 99% of the people in the stadium somehow manage to hold their shit together, but you get some nasty drunks in the mix. I can’t speak to how this compares to fans in other stadiums, all I know is Buffalo, but I know that I personally wouldn’t trust my children’s safety to a heaving crowd of people who’ve been drinking heavily all day, and I say that as a parent who used to drink heavily all day.
