“Thursday In The Danger Room,” cuenta dos historias, una del amigo de El-P, Camu Tao, un compañero rapero que firmó con el sello Def-Jux de El-P, cuya muerte fue causada por cáncer de pulmón, El-P ah descrito lo difícil que fue ver a su amigo luchar contra el cáncer de pulmón mientras grababa el álbum King of Hearts de Camu. El-P ha sido abierto sobre la muerte de Camu en canciones anteriores, incluso dedicando su álbum Cancer 4 Cure al difunto rapero. Sin embargo, El-P lleva su honestidad un paso más allá en estas líneas, admitiendo que a veces deseaba que Camu estuviera muerto mientras estaba vivo porque era duro verlo sufrir. La otra historia es del amigo de Killer Mike que murió en las calles, asesinado en un robo. Mike entiende la lucha de crecer en un área de bajos ingresos y dice que "las calles eran una jungla". Esto invoca el instinto animal de “matar o morir” que puede presionar y producir en alguien. Mike perdona y siente empatía por el tirador. Esto recuerda el perdón que se muestra en "Crown" de Run the Jewels 2 cuando una mujer a la que Mike le vendió crack lo perdona por infectar a su hijo recién nacido.
