Barstow receiving has relinquish flags in it now so they’ll normally relinquish once they pull as far as they can into the receiving tracks. Only issue I’ve had is that WB they won’t relinquish unless they’re pointed at the crossover. So when running the hump jobs back (after retagging) to the other end and sending rear power up, you have to give them up to the crossover. They won’t leave the receiving track but unless they can see that absolute they stay stuck in relinquishing (V3 update 1 of run8)

@@OverKillPlusOne Yes they all relinquish properly R1 to R10. Don't set them to stop when relinquished just let them run and they should relinquish. This has been in place since V3 was launched.

Hello: I've noticed some R8 videos with several trains in operation. This particular KZbinr was in a siding; presumably routed onto the siding by AI. It appeared that all of his trains were completely generated, and under the full control of--AI. Is this possible? I can only set into operation any trains that appear on the dispatcher's screen. When they appear; not always. Not too much fun. I also have to control the block signals on my intended route. I don't really comprehend the AI info on the Run8 help page. Also; some videos show realistically populated yards--Rather than lifeless; empty yards. Again; can this be done automatically? Or; by the tedious; time-consuming car generator. Per track. Too much work. Thank you for any insight.

Yes this is very common with Run8 and usually what I do in Run8. Check out some more of my videos. I rarely manually spawned.

I'm still haviing trouble finding out where trains are going and where the destinations for the different cars are. I'm using the Depot Maps and they are helping somewhat, but could you maybe explain like im a moron how to read these train names like "H-BARBAK" for example and how to find where the different cars are going to? Your videos have already helped a bunch!

Depot I believe has another map that will tell you locations. For example BARBAK stands for Barstow to Bakersfield. That other map will show you where some of theose locations head to out of the area. Both Barstow and Bakersfield are on the main map. A train will have many industry cars for the Bakersfield area coming from BARBAK

so there is way to copy. if you set up bnsf colton crossing main 1 they way you want it, highlight it and click copy above. then click on bnsf colton crossing main 2 and say paste and confirm.

IM SO CONFUSED, SO IF IM ON THE A-LINE AND I WANT OTTO TO ROUTE ME TO SANFORD IND HOW DO I PUT THE TAG IN IM USING K950 WHICH IS CSX, IT SHOWS UP AS K950-30 FOR THE DATE BUT IT DOSNT ROUTE ME THERE, {OTTO} MY CAR TAGS IS SAN FOR SANFORD, WHAT AM I DOING WRONG, I DONT GET IT.... ANY HELP

Routing is based on the routing file. You can find it in the following location (your drive) and route directory will be different. E:\Run8Studios\Run8 Train Simulator V3\Content\V3Routes\CSX_Waycross then look for the XML file for train routings and edit (create a backup first). Only tag that matters for OTTO is the lead unit. It doesn't look at the car tags.

Sean: I'm hitting my head against a wall. After buying a new computer, and reinstalling V3; I then proceeded to use my A-Line installer. Run8/V3 opens, and works properly. The new update Installer did its thing/A-Line was updated/Distributables downloaded/Mojave/etc. However--Although the CSX A-Line appears in the "Route(s) section; selecting the A-Line opens a blank window; with a center that says "no image." There are zero trains. I've done everything imaginable: I've deleted V3 using Revo Uninstaller Pro. Then; a reinstallation. Checked the "content/routes" folder. The A-Line there; the correct file size. Made sure that V2 was imported. Bottom Line: John Greenstone sent me a fresh A-Line download link. Alas; No change. I emailed the A-Line people. He said to check the forum articles. Struck out. My problem seems unique. No help there. Hmm. An idea: I downloaded V2 separately. Made sure the A-Line was in the routes folder. Same problem: "No image." Arggggh! This isn't a Widows Defender blockage. All of the essentials are allowed. Same with my Malwarebytes. All of the exceptions are listed. I hesitate asking Run8 for help--again. I think they are as stymied as I; or have too many people asking too many questions. My external hard-drive saved installers (V3/V2/Mojave/CSX A-Line ) have worked previously; so I don't think that I have any corrupted files. This is very frustrating; I've spent hours working, and re-working this odd problem. "No Image." What the heck? Any help will be most appreciated. I really don't want to buy another copy of the software. Thank you!

You can import files or simply do data entry. There is no direct connection.

@@SeanMurrellRTS I have had Run8 for 3 years and still have no idea how to setup a fresh "world" too run fairly prototypical. I know how to handle mainline trains, but locals confuse the crud outta me. I'm trying to start fresh in the Selkirk/Mohawk region, then make a public server with it, I just have to figure out the ropes of sorting, building and running a local train.
