It's seems like yesterday I was driving to Chicago from Louisiana and stopped in a truck stop in Arkansas or maybe Missouri and heard Gloria for the first time at around 3:00 AM . Navindra Bassit: "Hold Me" is one of my favorite songs of all time. It's a shame it's not more recognized like "Self Control" and some other songs from Laura Branigan. The album "Hold Me" definitely needs a remastering and re-release that is long over due. barteek22: @Navindra Bassit: In fact Harold Flatemayer did an perfect arrangement for this song. It is so dynamic and makes you want to dance. Although was not very successful on the charts (bad or even no special promotion) it had the potential to do so - it scored on the dance charts at #39. Definitely on of the best tunes of the 80's.

Olá! Lamento muito não te la conhecido pessoalmente. Eu costumava ouvir o hit Self Control esperando a Van passar para eu ir embora para casa, mas não sabia quem cantava nem o nome da música. Ouvia na rádio mas nada. Só descobri de quem se tratava com um senhor de loja de discos e CDs antigos do centro de Vitória, cidade onde resíduo a quase trinta anos, em Março de 2020, na véspera da Pandemia mundial. Ela era uma dessas pessoas que muitas gostariam de conhecer como eu, mas só quem teve a oportunidade de conhece la pode realmente descrever esse sentimento.
