That turquoise JM has a Fender Custom Shop bridge - the total solution for all Jag/JM bridge problems & Fender refuse to sell it separately. Anyway here's my 2 cents ... Always set the intonation with the bridge rocked all the way back & play the guitar like that otherwise the intonation will never be in. Set the locking tremolo spring tension so the button locks completely just when the trem arm is lightly depressed. Carefully retune every 1/4 turn of the adjustment screw. Then your tremolo & string tension is how it was designed to be.

Thanks , right at the end when talked about resetting the bridge I figured out why after I do a string change, my B and G strings fret out. Really low action and the bridge as slightly pushed down is it!!!

Subscriber earned. So much offset honesty, at least you admit the rocking bridge will eventually tilt.
@LoungingGuitars8 ай бұрын
yeah man! I don't see many people talking about the fact that it needs an adjustment. Especially all the rattles that can happen when you don't reset it.

Lesser known fact: pulling up on the trem arm will shoot lasers out of the Rhythm Circuit on Jazzmasters and Jaguars. Could've bought yourself some more time. Thanks for risking your freedom for us though. Much appreciated.

Are you using paradigm 9-42's ? I usually use cobalt hybrid strings but I'm down to trying new sets

I have used the Burts Beeswax on occasion, but most don't know you can also use jelly doughnut filling on the rocking bridge to really lock it in place. Plus, as you play it tends to sticky up your fingers and helps with pick retention. I figure since most if us usually have a jelly doughnut in our front pocket, this trick was born out of convenience. Another side benefit is the jelly on your fingers offsets the metallic string taste you get on your fingers, so when you get the post show KFC, your fingers are still finger lickin' good. "No Joke..." LOL.
