I met her in Medford Mass. In 82 or so with Ricky Byrd. She growled at Me. Made My day. I loved her toughness. It’s a different toughness now that she’s older. She’s a survivor. She looks good. I loved when she played with John Melloncamp and John Fogerty at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Gig. Thanks Joan.

This is a real treat, thank you for uploading it! Her backstory never really changes, so you know she's telling the truth. I like that she's got her own philosophy and all. The low pitch of Joan's speaking voice is a turn-on for me. I don't care what that says about me; I just love her. If anybody remembers Suzanne Pleshette from _The Bob Newhart Show,_ she had the same thing: Deep voice -- sexy as hell.

This is a great video. Thank you for posting. I've been a fan and been collecting her stuff since 1987 or so and it's really cool to hear some different and new Q's and A's I've never heard before. I have a couple of videos on her on my channel, one of my JJ CDs and one of my ticket stubs and stories from shows and times I've met her. We have the same birthday too. 🙂

Black heart as two words means black-hearted, but blackheart as one word can mean a dark heart-shaped cherry that is sweet and nourishing. Stop trying to look at everything in a negative way. If you really want to know who she is, listen to her lyrics, particularly the ones that she wrote herself. Most of her songs are very kind, loving, and encouraging of everyone else to love each other. So, if you don't know that and you think of Joan is any other way but kind and loving, then you haven't really listened to her. If you're just going to interpret her based on the name of her band, then you don't understand the name of her band either. Be careful the way you look at the world, because you will start attracting that kind of thing. And it seems like you're looking at it very negatively.
