you dont actually believe him when he says we are going to work this out, all post viral conditions including aids are caused by low glutathione levels pulling down the atp levels resulting in a weak immune system that cant expel dead virus particles from the system, thats what a post viral condition is ,thats whats keeping them stuck in sickness its a nutritional deficiency thing 18mg ivm and 50mg zinc taken daily for 4 days in a row ends all post viral conditions then they have to raise the glutathione which raises the atp job done

@@dont_shoot_the_messenger glutathione fuels the cell mitochondria, cell mitochondria makes glucose and oxygen that makes the atp what fuels directly and indirectly every system in your body, the bodies foundation for health is glutathione,if it gets low it causes a catastrophic domino effect on health, thats the root cause of most sickness, disease and cancers in the body ,its the main reason america is the sickest country on earth, toxic gm foods have destroyed americas immune systems health,no glutathione

It’s strange because anxiety /panic attacks does give similar symptoms that Long Covid gives , e.g. shortness of breathe , tachycardia, chest pressure, dizziness, bad sleep . So since doctors only know these symptoms as anxiety they would brush it off as that . This is connected directly to Covid and what it has done to our nervous system. Could it be the hyper inflammatory response that causes the damage to the nervous system ??

Great discussion and have been following these guys for a while with interest as they seem to be further down the line with understanding and treating long covid. I would consider myself now after 15 months to be mostly recovered but I have to maintain serious discipline to avoid setbacks such as no alcohol whatsoever, regulating my sleep every single night, taking anti histamines and generally been careful in the foods I eat. When any of these slip I almost immediately have symptoms within 24 hours that can last a few days. I have found I can tolerate a bit more excercise now too and have gotten back to playing golf at least, lots of hope out there for everyone no question from this horrible illness

That's the point: first they refuse to give you the treatments in the early phase that would help prevent long covid, such as hydroxychloroquine and azythromycine, talking to you like they would to little children. Then they deny your disease. Most doctors are overpaid , inhumane and incompetent. They need to be made liable and there should be a massive recruitment of doctor, so that it ceases being a position with privileges based on an artificial shortage of training.

Also overall my body, my dermis is inflamed and shows through my epidermis as pink flushing. Even my old scars turned from normal to pink and red. It comes and goes, but never fully goes away. I’ve never had a rash my whole adult life. Nor have I ever caught the flu. Vaccine free since I was 18. And only caught the cold 2 or 3 times in 40 years. I was proud of my immune system, until now.

One more thing back when I had first got corona virus. I was trying everything to stop from getting really sick. I was taking daily immune support vitamins. I had doubled up on it and I was drinking warm honey, I was going over bored with trying to fight the virus off. I keep thinking that maybe that had something to do with why I became a long hauler. I was a very healthy person before the virus and I didn’t get very sick at all. While I had the virus. I don’t know I just want to know why some of us became long haulers and some of us didn’t, thank you again for not giving up on us all!

I did similarly as you did: I was trying everything to stop from getting more sick. I was taking MANY immune support supplements. I had also doubled up on them... So I'm also thinking I might have gone over board trying to fight the virus, which was very important in early first phase (i.e. virus replicated phase, the first 3-7 days), but I continued doing that in the later phases - during and after the 2nd phase (the inflammatory phase, around Day 7-14), which was a mistake because during the inflammatory phase we should have tamped down the immune support, we should have been taken anti-inflammatory supplements instead of continued high doses of immune supporting supplements. I have started taking these anti-inflammatory regime 2 weeks ago: Quercetin + Vitamin C, Curcumin, , Boswellia, Pine Bark Extract, and high dose of DHA/EPA (Omega 3 fatty acids), and Serrapeptase (a proteolytic enzyme, taken on empty stomach), they are all powerful anti-inflammatory!! They're really amazing help, they work far better than the steriod medication my Doctor previously prescribed for me. Now I'm going to add Bromelain, taken with Serrapeptase on empty stomach.

Same issues with Shingles and long COVID. I’ve had Covid twice very mild symptoms June 2020 and June 2021. Shingles August 2020. I am pro vaccine I got both April and May to 2021. Both knocked me off my feet for five days. Record to stay strong. at times I really felt better. October began in sweating for no reason… Whether I was lying down middle of the night. Intermittent low-grade fever‘s body pain intense and headaches that nothing gets rid of… orthostatic hypotension when I stand up… Blood pressure goes down heart rate shoots up. Many flags in my blood test high cholesterol which I’ve never had, hi cholesterol high hemocrit, high hemoglobin, high granulocyted. My doctor says I’m fine. Lol. I had over 9 flags on my blood test which I’ve never had 1 flag prior! Had been able to do daily hour yoga walk 3 miles or swim 30 minutes… Now I can no longer do any of that. I am trying to incorporate breath work and meditation… White walking anything to stay sane. The loss of strength scares me. I did have intolerance to hot shower… however that’s coming back… i’m trying to do hot cold shower intermittent to reduce swelling inflammation pain. Helps reset nervous system. I’ve had a history of autoimmune disease thyroid disease, Lyme disease and HHV6. I have factor five Leiden a blood disorder “ hyper Clotting”. which I believe is what fires up shingles Epstein bar virus. I eat cold water fish greens fruits take good quality vitamins minerals and amino acids. I used to like to drink a beer now and again. But my body will not let me have it… I either don’t have a taste for it or it just feels like the wrong thing when I take a drink. It’s sad… so many things I enjoyed that were my rituals were gone. Interesting used to be a coffee lover… it’s the one thing I’ve always loved since college and I’m 62. But my case for that has changed also… cannot drink coffee anymore… Taste different now. My doctor of 25 years retired. My new doctor says I’m fine I need to work out more and eat better. What? Help.

Very helpful. I had very serious Covid within that initial time frame (May 2020). None of the nasal pulmonary symptoms but delirium for eight days, and a headache not unlike Meningitis (had it twice). Unable to eat anything but fruit. Initially devastated with no stamina and a shot balance (disautonomia) No treatment at the time. Gradually improved but recently similar symptoms have returned, especially ataxia and bottomless fatigue and some suggestion of POTS. Managed to get some Ivermectin and took it for twelve days, and had four days of incredible recovery but, again, the symptoms have returned. I am convinced Dr Patterson's hypothesis is accurate, that this is due to persistent antigen expression= sub acute Covid recurring. I am also convinced that the initial Covid was somehow programmed to target whatever was the weakest 'system' in each recipient. In my case brain related, in others different co-morbidities, which accounted for the deaths of the obese, or disabled.

1 .My doctor has accepted my diagnosis in spite of the lack of testing at the time. 2. I think we are a long way ahead of them in understanding what this whole thing presents. My approach has been to use talks like this and others, as well as the large number of symptom studies that have appeared, to teach my Doc what is going on. We have to take ownership of this and work with our medical support teams to reach a position that moves us forwards. They may still be constrained by what they are allowed to say or prescribe due to the way governance of medical provision works. The need for patience is key :)

@@christineristau6095 YES! I had Covid Jan. - Feb. 2020. Jan. 2021 came along with a new symptom daily. I printed out a list of covid-longhaul symptoms from Survivor Corps (FB) for my Dr. to add to my medical chart (which she still hasn't). I made a call to University of Washington Covid Clinic (who were willing to help despite the fact I wasn't able to get tested). Once they got into my medical records they called back & said "sorry, there's not any Covid symptoms listed in your chart". I'm 16 months out & still sick. I did get a referral to an allergist who said this is all Mast Cell related (which my Dr. strongly denied) when I suggested it before my allergist appt. & here I sit GASLIT! Fortunately, I'm in Seattle & there's a growing population of homeless people living in their tents, which is exactly where I'll be if I can't work & even if I'm able to get on disability...it won't cover the rent on a tiny, studio micro apartment. So, I guess I'll be shopping for a tent! The bad thing is...I did all the right things, wore my mask religiously...didn't socialize, went to the Dr. right away to get tested. There has to be some kind of help for those of us that were unable to get tested.

Is this interview absolutely awesome or what !!! I am pretty much fully recovered, so I have ignored the most recent updates. I would like to add that I had CFS when I was around 30 and then long haul now (when I am 60). I am now certain that they are both the same. I had the nausea symptoms (not cold/flu symptoms), April 2020 onset, exercise related relapses, arterial/cardiac inflammation symptoms. I did have diarrhea, but after that, I really did not have "gut" symptoms. I started feeling better before the vaccine, but after the vaccine, I definitely got better. I am not at full exercise pace yet, but I am getting back to it. The vaccine helped, but I can only guess at the mechanism. My theory, some people (long haulers) have a non-specific immune reaction to Covid, that works non-specifically attacking Covid as it would any "general" virus. The vaccine adds more specificity to the immune reaction and therefore provides that last push that is needed to prevent relapses. I am also certain that the arterial inflammation caused by Niacin (not the chemistry) has a role in "neutralizing" the effect of the monocytes. There is something about niacin that could be effective in all viral situations....next time I get a cold, I plan to try Niacin instead of vitamin C. NO EATING when taking niacin---for some reason the lipemia produced after eating neutralizes the effect of the niacin burn.

That part about the gut and the hormones are pretty interesting. I gained 15 kilos the first month of Covid, and I could never really understand why. I also have struggled to lose it again, partially of course since I can't work out anymore, but it is far above my general "can't be arsed to work out" weight gain range. But I also get hard, swollen "pregnant stomach", and get overall swollen, similar to oedema, some days before my period. The latter probably in connection to something hormonal. If there's a way to make this better, I'd be thrilled. And I'm from April 2020, for the record.

@@fabulousdoc Seeing that I already follow the anti histamine therapy as much as I can without involving doctors(and have for months), I think I would have seen an improvement by now. I think some of the swelling for sure is related to inflammation(especially when it's the face swelling), since it gets worse when I am having a flare up. However, for the majority of it, I wouldn't be surprised if that was hormone or gut related, especially since I have a history of hormonal imbalance. It's not just that it's a weight gain, it's how it is distributed. But who knows! I suspect I will have to just live with it, regardless.

I continue to have really bad bloating that gets worse when my symptoms surge. My brain doesn't function well enough to keep track of whether there is much of a pattern to the symptom surges beyond that they happen after I've overexerted myself. @@neverseenblue11 for many of us are symptoms are caused for different reasons. I think those of us that are having vascular problems might want to get a simple blood information test. Checking for resistance to proteins C. Many people that died of Covid had hyper clotting of the blood mechanism. Showing too many platelets or higher cholesterol all the sudden… this will also cause inflammation… It’s a part of your body pain your joints hurting feels like arthritis. Definitely a contributor to brain fog. Some people suffer from “Factor 5 Leiden”. Which will give you a tendency to have hyper clotting in your blood… Many people don’t know they have this… Protein C malfunction in your blood. More common than you know. Many doctors believe so many people are sick because their body continues to “micro clot”. Micro clotting it’s not gonna show up on an x-ray… And it’s not gonna show up on a blood test unless you specifically test for it. And you may be able to live on miserably with it… But some people will eventually get a clot in her lung their leg or stroke heart attack etc. virus or illness attacks the body… The blood begins to thicken anyway it’s a response an immune response… And your body is prepared to take care of internal bleeding… External… Some peoples mechanism does not get turned off. I am just now learning about those if anybody else knows or has information I would love it.

I have bloating in my belly, weight gain quickly as much as 25 pounds in two months, and pain in my body. I have had high WBC since the vaccine, pericarditis is another diagnosis I had. I am convinced now that I may be a "long Covid" victim without it being diagnosed. I am about to try antihistamines to help. Some doctors have said the antihistamines tend to help with the virus symptoms. I hope you will keep researching those who had the vaccine who also have side affects almost as though they had covid.

Thanks for asking… I rescheduled a doctor appt. for quarantine reasons. The procedure and quarantine release coincided. Part of my disability is due to the invasive procedure and part of it mimics long haul Covid symptoms. My understanding is that trauma coinciding with Covid exaggerates other precursors. At this time I am in pain daily, Braxton hicks breathing to cope. 25% of what I was before. The cause for the pain is diverse. It is obvious when it pertains to the medical procedure, kinda, the pain is not isolated to that area causing me to wonder if a good portion is due to long Covid.
