@Lone Wolf ...you think the elder futhark existing is horse crap? apart from the letter y, every character in that message is a rune
@rune92434 жыл бұрын
@Lone Wolf a character is a printed or written letter or symbol. the symbols, in this case, are the elder futhark _(the writing system used by germanic peoples from the 2nd to 8th centuries, the 100s-700s)_ the only other character in the top message _(the one i assume you were responding to)_ that isn't a from the elder futhark is the latin alphabet _(this one, the one we use in english)_ letter y, because the elder futhark doesn't have a direct equivalent for it. i was asking you why you think a writing system that has existed for hundreds of years is "horse crap". let me know if i need to explain further for you ❤️

@@candyeyed5384 I have made a couple sets with just the acrylic paint and clear coat, but they tend to chip and they show dirt if you use white paint. Recently I purchased a Dremel tool and a set it diamond head attachments for it and I have made several sets of runes that I first carved, then filled in with a paint marker and finally clear coated to seal them. So far, so good, and they look GREAT!

My experience with runes was through a Norse set of runes. I bought them from my local "spirits and crystals" store mainly because I was interested in Norse gods and Vikings as a whole. However, I was brought up in a very Christian household so I wasn't ever allowed to dabble in any pagan work. So I bought these secretly and brought them home and a book on how to use the Norse set and what they mean, at first I thought it was just a silly magic trick, but once I used them I was really blown away. They really DO work, they pinpointed exactly the problem I had and how to deal with it. They helped me more than anyone, or my previous religion had and whenever I have a problem I consult them straight away and now I am getting involved with more aspects o pagan religion (Norse). So to the sceptic people, I would try this before you rule it out as a hoax, because they rally changed how I view things! (p.s. I love your vibe, your whole channel is perfect)

If you can't afford rune stones: I have seen that some people go to a pet store, dollar store, walmart etc and get small decorative glass gems for 1-5 dollars a pack. Clean them with soap and water, cleanse them with smoke, sun, moon or whichever way is best and write the rune symbols on the gem with paint. For me it's a cheaper option and works the same/ more personal because I made them!

And now you post this video explaining them a bit more! I'm still not sure about them, but I may just buy them to try them out. I got into runes seemingly out of nowhere. It took me on a long journey to study divination as a whole, and I found some pretty great stuff. As someone who calls themselves Christian, I was very. very. VERY. skeptical. But I read a few different things about divination that surprised me. 1). There are several instances of divination in the Bible used in both the Old and New Testament in the form of "casting lots." An OT example being the sailors on the ship with Jonah cast lots and the lots determined Jonah was the reason for the storm and cast him overboard. An NT example being after the death of Jesus and Judas, the apostles were trying to decide who would take Judas' place. They cast lots, and the lots chose Mathias. 2.) Anglo-Saxon Christians would cast runes to determine the will of God. 3.) ALL THE PROPHETS OF THE BIBLE are technically diviners. They determine the will of God through signs, symbols, and connecting with God through prayer and ritual. So I started using runes when I pray and seek guidance from God. Seeing as different people use runes in different ways I don't feel like I am disrespecting the runes. Using runes has helped me to center myself and given me focus on my prayers (since focusing during prayer was always something I struggled with before). That's just my testimony with rune stones. Maybe it will help some other Christian struggling to understand how divination fits into our universe. Even the act of prayer, in any religion or belief, is divination. It is everywhere, and is permeated into the most basic of religious practices. It is only harmful if your intentions are harmful. It is what you make it to be.

The hardest part about research how to use rune stones is that different practices use them slight different. And even though it's a slight difference it can change the magick. This might sound weird but my mother who is a Christian actually supported me through my wiccan lifestyle without judgement. I'm sure she did in her mind but never really showed it. Instead, she was the reason how I even started. I was doing Tarot Card readings and used Ruin Stones quite a bit and she was the one that bought them for me. I also am fascinated with natural remedies and obtained herbs overtime for years and believed in the energy of different stones and crystals. Her church never understood why my mother allowed me to stay this way and all my mother told them was, "God gave gifts to people and free will. If this is what makes her bring peace to herself and remain happy, then I will not force her to do anything she doesn't want to. She's not doing anything illegal or getting herself into trouble. She's not doing anything evil."

Melody Waters Seriously? Back in the viking era, working with Runes was considered a woman' job (though, Rich men would use it for writing) we had a job/person called a vølv, which essentially was a woman working with medicine, divination, spiritual concerns and generally the person You'd ask for advice. Among her technices was Runes. She was highly respected. Even if a enemy attacked, they'd Try to be Nice to her in order to stand on good foot with the gods. A man with This job had a much harder time. People would dislike him - Sometimes even to the extent where they'd harras, be violent and Sometimes even kill him. One of the cases in World history, where it didn't suck to be a woman.
@farmrgalga6 жыл бұрын
Just want to make a point there: the Norse (Germanic) tradition was a shamanic one. F.e. Odin himself is the shaman of the Aesir. His counterpart is Freya, his lover (or one of them anyway), who is the vølv. (Frigg is the wife and the healer, the other aspect of the vølv, but the Anglosaxon and Frisian folklore make Frigg and Freya the same goddess). The men who really did become the shaman, were often also skalds or chieftains because of it. They were respected because of it, but there are aspects of it they would learn about but never publicly practice because they were considered the woman's domain... f.e. spells and curses. It is also typical for the masculine to be the force that wants to make things clear and known and for the feminine to be unknown. The two have to work together to make something like the runes work.
@ina19946 жыл бұрын
You forget to mention that Freya was the one who thought him :) In the viking age, men were made fun of for becoming a shaman/volva, because they had to dress like the female volvas. It was considered unmanly. Maybe they were more respected earlier in the germanic era, but in Scandinavia during the Viking age, not so much.

Odin recognized magic as the realm of women, but after the Aesir (gods of war) and Vanir (gods of magic) fought their war, Odin realized that the gods they considered to be a bunch of poets and dreamers had fought them to a standstill. In making peace with them, he married Frigg, a powerful sorceress of the Vanir, and...being wise...he tried to learn the art of magic, as he saw the military potential in it. He sacrificed to learn it, he did things that his fellow Aesir thought womanly, to possess it. He finally hung from the world tree, Yggdrasil (whose roots reach to the Source, from whence even the gods do not understand), until almost dead, pierced by a spear, a sacrifice of himself to himself, in order to possess the secrets of the runes. He lost an eye to possess what the Vanir were born with, so he understood quite well that this power, flowing from the feminine, was something he would need in battle, for his mind is ever on the last war against evil, Ragnarok, for even though he knows the outcome already, he is always looking for an edge against his foes...that is his nature.

Hey Harmony, this video is great! I really appreciate how informative you are, because you tell not only your own personal story opinion, but also other options for those of us who could want to try something else. I also really, really appreciate how you called smoke cleansing actual smoke cleansing, instead of smudging. I don't know if it's the same where you live, but in the US there is a huge issue of cultural appropriation. Some people call smoke cleansing "smudging" even though the term smudging refers to a multiple-day-long Native American ritual that involves so much more then just waving around smoke. Some Wiccans either haven't realized that calling what they do smudging is wrong, or they just don't care. I really hope that, in future years, our community can realize that this is actually a disservice to the Native American tradition. Thanks again for this video, and sorry for the rant! I just wanted to let you know how appreciated you are. WE LOVE YOU

For some reason it just really clears my head when I get to learn new things about things I'm not experienced with. I'm not Wiccan but I'm very interested in it! I feel called to go to the mountain where I live and get a quarter inch thick stick fallen from a tree I guess, and to cut it into small quarter size discs and inscribe and fill the shapes with a natural sticky black substance. What would that be? Like.... Clay? Like if I dig deep enough maybe deep wet earth would dye the designs on the wood. I'm not sure. Oil? Like car oil mixed with dirt? Idk yet.

I totally love your videos. I don't even remember which one I saw first, it wasn't even about Wicca, but I'm so excited every time a new Enchanted Endeavours comes up :D I first got in contact with Wicca when I was about 13 but felt so insecure back then about my family's reactions I just kinda gave up on it as I got older. But about a year ago I felt extremely drawn to spiritualism again and read many books, and I've been using Tarots for a while which have been extremely helpful for me. I also do meditations and use stones for energy flow and so on, but I was really surprised by how close my look on the subject was to everything you explained in your videos! So thanks a lot, maybe I'll read a little more about Wicca again as well. I love listening to you talking about it :)

I went to a pagan festival and was drawn to a set made from snowflake obsidian, they came in a little velvet pouch, came with a little booklet and card with info, and it was 26 stones. I consult them from time to time and I keep them in my bag that I take almost everywhere with me. They’re great for me. This also shined a lot of light for me on some things

I am reading a book about rune casting. The author has stated if you can make them out of wood you will have a better connection to the runes. I have 2 sets. One is kind of plastic and the other is bone. I am going to make another set from a 1 in round oak dowel cut 1cm thick

I am a welder by trade and a home blacksmith, so naturally I have decided that I should forge my own Runes. I have yet to do this because I felt that I should first begin my BOS by cataloguing the Runes individually, as a way to learn their meaning and as a reference when I begin casting. When I first became interested I read that Runes should be made from natural materials, being a natural magick, but I thought that a blacksmith has the unique opportunity to connect with his Runes by bringing them to life with his bare hands by fire and hammer. Another interesting idea is that Odin first shared his knowledge of the Runes with the Dwarves, who are best known as being exceptional blacksmiths. These are meant to be a personal journey, and I feel comfortable with my ideas about it.

Do you read reversed runes? With my runes and the corresponding rune book that I have it lists different meanings for runes that are pulled upside down. I know some people use reversed meanings for tarot as well, but I've never really felt like it's necessary for me in my practice and read any reversed cards or runes with their normal meanings. I was just curious what you're thoughts are on the topic. Loving this series so far! Blessings xx

I can imagine it being hard to explain certain aspects about Wicca to such a broad public as KZbin channel :p Constantly reminding people that with spirituality there isn't really such a thing as "the right way" but everything comes from inside intuïtion. But I think you are doing a great job with that. To me it looks like you are using your runes in a Tarot kind of way, might be because you are very much drawn to Tarot and you work with them a lot as well. That is just a thought! :) Its just that Im used to a different way of handling my runes, but Im no Wiccan so It could be that this is a Wiccan way. Do you follow a specific Wiccan path? Im new to your channel, so excuse me if that's been said before. Blessed be

Hey Harmony Nice I really love your personality and keep up the great work!! May I ask but do you wear contacts or glasses by any chance b/c for some reason your eyes look very bright and slightly tinted a little bit; and if so(if taking requests), can you do a video concerning your contacts and your eyesight/tips and tricks/experiences showing like how you put them in/take them out and care for them, what made you decide to get them, a close up of what it looks like on your eye, whether they're really comfortable or not, what kind/brand you wear, what your prescription's like and what products/stuff you use for them, as well as your eye story on how you got glasses and contacts/your pros and cons/what your eyesight's like w/o them(nearsighted, farsighted, etc.)? P.S. What inspired you to get piercings? They look very nice on you and what also inspired you to make videos involving Wicca?

gogo 78 to reply to your first question, no I don't wear contacts, ever never I find them way to hard to put in and uncomfortable so I'm really sorry I can't help you there love! And as for piercings, I have no idea, I had a lot of friends who had piercings when I was younger and I got my nose pierced and just went from there really! Thank you 😘 and as for Wicca videos, I've been studying it for a while now and so many people have been interested I felt like it was a great idea to share stuff, there's lots of mixed opinions about it but I want people to know the truth as well, how it's not evil or to do with Satan and how loving and beautiful it can really be! Thanks for the kind words 😘💕

Wonderful video, thank you. I think when people believe Tarot or divination is dangerous, they give it incredible power, which is an oxymoron because they always claim they don't believe in any divination having power. So by fearing it, not only they prove they believe in it, but also give it negative connotations that isn't there in the first place, which will give them negative experience if they ever use divination. Self fulfilling prophecy, lol.
