After playing this game for almost 20 years, words can’t describe how much lorehounds like me have always wanted content like this. It’s amazing to see a concise timeline that helps fill in the gaps of this incredibly complex story. THANK YOU for your time and effort on a project like this.

@@CharlieScape I wanted to say too, it was a really great feeling having all these old moments of nostalgia triggered. There was at least 20 different parts of the video where I was like “oh wow I remember that!” & it was nice having all these old childhood memories triggered and remembered in a way that made a lot more sense. Can’t wait to see future videos related to lore and backstories. 😁

@RareAngelz2 ай бұрын
@@CharlieScape I would love it, though it has been covered by other OSRS creators already more than the rs3 timeline. Admittedly, since OSRS develops storylines slower, a lot would be repeated if going by a timeline. I would watch it all again anyway, and I'm sure others would too! I'd guess the viewer base would be niche, but there's also an EXTREME lack of rs3 to OSRS lore/storyline comparisons. Definitely options if you do decide to explore this style on OSRS. :)

Tyrus was no better than Lathas, he abandoned his people for decades trying to start another race war with the Elves and basically allowed Lord Ioworth to radicalize the dying population and almost single-handedly caused the rise of the dark lord by feeding them all that rancor and breaking the stalemate the clans had maintained since Baxtorian ran away like a coward.

Great video but the zamorak bit is super off. We didn’t strip zamorak of his power nor did we defeat him. The entire concept of the boss battle is we are no where near Zamorak’s power, so we desperately must do what we can to survive and recast the edicts. We succeed in doing so but Zamorak is still as strong as ever and in the hard version of the fight he pulls you with him. We have to use the remaining edict runes to defend ourselves long enough to escape with the battle ending just before Zamorak can grab us. Your video makes it sound like we’re zamorak’s equal when we weren’t remotely close to it. Otherwise this is a great video and other than some I think missing connective tissue to make certain parts make sense you did a great job.
@CharlieScape3 ай бұрын
Apologies for the that, I appreciate your comment I really do. Constructive lore points are great for me to use moving forward. Thank you for your kind words, I'll try and be less cinematic in my words in the future. I guess I got carried away writing the script to be too epic :P Thank you, truly.
@Hirokey1233 ай бұрын
Well your cinematic words are what make it engaging, it’s more just gotta channel that cinematic nature a different directions. Make it sound like we escaped by the skin of our teeth can be as just as cinematic, after all the under dog and come from behind victory are cinema cornerstones. One thing that might help with the connective flow issue is have someone who doesn’t play RS, that you trust, to read your script. They might be able to spot stuff you might not because they lack a context. Example you mention Moia betrays us at Iaia, no details on what that betrayal was. But then about 5 seconds later you say our character was seeking to report to Moia…as someone who played extinction I have the missing bits. But to my roomie he was like “wait so you were betrayed by her but were also giving her a status update, is she like your boss or was it a test”. Maybe sometimes also less is more, when you consider how fast it happens and resolves the fact Moia betrayed us really wasn’t super relevant. The main purpose of that moment was to poison Adrasteia and Moia’s relationship as it launched into her doing a tear down of Adrasteia. Over the course of the quest they had been bonding but it’s this sobering reality check that turns that burgeoning friendship into an adversarial relationship and highlights Moia very much wants to see Adrasteia break. But I get this is too much to really shove in the video and honestly Moia and Adrasteia’s history could be their own video. At its core it’s really not about us at all or super relevant so that’s why I’d probably cut it.

Just want to point out that Bryll Thoksdottir should be pronounced as "Thok's daughter" like in the common icelandic last name "fathers name+dottir(for a girl) or fathers name+son(for a boy). Although I don't think it's mentioned in the game anywhere Thok should also be Thok Thokson Thok is her brother but her fathers name was also Thok. It's 2 different people, Thok and Thok.
