Love it! Before the battle of the monolith I never linked zaros and Xau-tak. Now I see links between Amby's black hole mechanic and the Zaros godsword special attack Black Hole. Identical. The Zarosian symbol (4 spokes in an octagon) and the Moksha device ((4 chains, and the eight spikes from the Skekslan meaning dead-birth) are somewhat similar. Zaros' outfit has a closed mouth, and if there aren't black hands on his shoulders they look like tendrils or tentacles.

For the board behind Einstein Shrek: Do the music notes actually mean anything? Musical notes usually are assigned some letter designator (such as for example A, A minor, etc), so if anyone here has musical knowledge, I wonder if they spell anything out? Or if they were played, what is the sounds they produce? Depends of course on the instrument, but I am somewhat curious if when played the sound matches with the start of any Runescape theme we usually hear connected to an entity of some sort. In addition, the symbol below the notes that looks like a triangle with a circle in the middle sort of looks like it would fit right in with one of the Elder God symbols, though it doesn't match any of the known ones.

For example, the numbers under the farming symbol almost look like a radio frequency of sorts. Too bad, there is no place in game where we could input random number sequences into in order to perhaps get something to happen. I wonder just how much stuff has been snuck into the chalkboard?

The music staff is missing some lines, so depending on whether the note placement is sloppy or intentionally placed on/between missing lines, the notes are either "B B D D" or "B A C D". We could also name the intervals between the notes: That would be either unison/sixth/unision (1 6 1) or second/sixth/second (2 6 2). If you wanted to treat those as letters in alphabet order, that would be either "A F A" or "B F B". I'm not seeing any meaning in any of these interpretations, but thought I'd share in case anyone else sees something.

But if he took the blow on purpose and cursed all those people to hide the lead, it makes a lot more sense.

You made some interesting points about Zaros and his “offering”. I often assumed the offering in question was Mah’s core, but it never really made sense why he’d give it up as quickly as he got his hands on it. This offering of multitudes of souls could be the reason he may have had to build an empire and orchestrate his own demise. What better way to ensure that Zaros gets many souls for offering to Erebus than a large scale massacre of his own followers? I still don’t know about his whole resurrection, though. I feel his he went straight to Erebus when Ol’ Zam rammed the staff up his bum, and either had to offer the souls he accumulated as a sacrifice to return to life….Or upheld some kind of bargain. We know Zaros has been in contact with Erebus long before his empire when he encountered something in the Shadow Breach on Freneskae. But this is all speculation.

well thats what i think vos convinced him to do! essentially in the inquisitors journal we are seeing into Sliske (and by extension) Zaros grand plan! Vos "whispered" power to zaros, causing him to "shed his mortal form" and would be an explanation as to what they were used for. since this documentary, i found some more spooky shit talking to him on freneskae with certain items in inventory!

Do we know what the suffix / title / word, -Ma and -Da means? Regarding Vos-Da, Xau-Ma, and Tak-Ma? I was getting a gendered vibe from those, but I have no idea.

I definitely think it implies that XT is twin females. Maybe even conjoined. If you look into some of the senntisten lore Vos is the King of shadows so I'd assume DA is masculine and MA feminine. The mother of the black stone

If Zaros had any allegiance to Vos, why would he be poisoning Erebus with human souls? The fact that the Zarosian use of Erebus as an afterlife is likened to contaminating a water source with sewage outright states that it is something undesirable to the entities that inhabit Erebus, so why would Vos want human souls. I find it much more likely that this is just one more element of Zaros' grand plan, which he, in in own internal monologue recorded by the memoriam crystals, has stated to be for mortals to inherit the world.

@@prideslayer77 Indeed, they can be used as a source of power for great feats, as also exemplified by necromancy, Nomad, and the Order of Ascension. But that's because they're made of anima, and anima is power. Which holds true for this universe, but for Erebus it seems to be inversed. Where anima is power, and shadow anima is anathema, the reverse seems to be true for Erebus. So while Zaros 100% intends to use the souls he has gathered in Erebus for some purpose, I highly doubt it is to serve Vos. I'd go as far as to speculate he could be planning to kill Vos, the same way the regular elders treated shadow anima as deadly poison.

@@themather1 well I'm not proposing Zaros is evil tbh but I definitely think he gave in to vos and let his pride convince him he would be okay. I do for sure think VOS is the sixth elder god who perhaps mah tried to reanimate. But Zaros says "What I seek cannot be found in this universe. I have the apparatus to protect me and and an offering for those who rule there. He pleaded with jas to take mahs place, had her killed by leviathan, and thinks vos is going to trade. Hell no. Xau Tak and vos have no interest in diplomacy.

Also, about the current Elders…Their actions of creating, nurturing and resetting an entire universe in perpetuity doesn’t seem very….creator like. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say they’re running away from something. Erebus, most likely. I wonder if the Elders were some kind of “tribe” or anomaly originally from Erebus, as there were definitely more of them. Judging by their dwindling numbers, they either died because of incompatibility with shadow anima/“something else” or tried to escape from the rulers of Erebus. The resetting of the universe could be their way of cleansing or cleaning out something undesirable to their survival. Them being refugees also explains why they placed their perfect worlds at a greater distance from the source of the “shadow” emanating from the lower planes. They are also AFRAJD of mortal life, suggesting they want a universe with only the five of them. Mah’s death must have been very unexpected, possibly saying “there’s no escape from Erebus”. Causing Jas to take extreme measures. We seriously need more quests and less stupid combat/skill reworks. I’ll be in my 40s by the time we have answers at this rate.

haha :) i have an awesome vid i think youll enjoy, so i showed how VOS is probably an elder god, theres probably an entire pantheon of shadow elders too, but the "something else" (xau tak) is definitely involved in reincarnation and is most likely what they fear, Mah before her corruption (according to Mod rowley check the wiki) mah used to destroy intelligent life because she knew of it's "potential" and it could explain how Xau tak has always known of the Player (glory of zaros incident with "players" name) or pieces of hate when the kitten calls us a monster

Can beings that are attuned to Erebus survive a lifespan there? Or is a whole “Empire of Dead/Undead” kind of deal? Death said something an empire beyond this world, but that might well refer to Um.
