In this eighteenth episode of the RUNNERS series we follow graffiti writer Que around in Stockholm and Paris.
In 2002 Que ( WUFC ) started making graffiti canvases in it's rawest form. He wanted to keep the authenticity of the train pice, and came up with the original idea of putting a canvas on the train befor painting it, and when finished painting he kept the canvas. Between 2002 - 2019 Que has made more then 20 canvases.

RUNNERS
As a graffiti train writer you are always happy if you don't have to run away from your unfinished piece. If your able to catch your piece running the day after so you can get your traffic photos during rush hour you're even more happy. Our video series called RUNNERS is focused on graffiti on trains and for each episode we will feature actions and traffic videos from a selected writer or team of writers.

Great video with an european heavyweight. Interesting that he signs the paris trains with "les traîtres" (the traitors), Wufc and Sdk stopped writing together some years ago. I don't know why, it's their business and I will not speculate further. It's a shame though since both crews have fantastic writers. They made their mark in a special time for european graffiti history.

​@B M I must say even after 20 years I still love every single train I can catch haha. Some years I might be more into say throwups and others into styles, it always evolves, but I think it's the same for most people. Don't see it getting old anytime soon yet.

​@B M In the late 90s, there were people who said that graffiti was dead due to pieces not running for as long as was the case 10 years earlier (coupled with increased and more effective security), however, for others (including myself), it was the most exciting period in graffiti history. It's all relative. In 2020, graffiti is not dead. It has evolved though. Check out Cekios here on KZbin, for example; you would have a hard time watching his berlin runners and then arguing that the scene has completely died.

I too envisioned a life far different from the one I've actually lived after watching those films. Seeing this recent action from Que induces a sadness in me. Que and Rilo, specifically, were big players in the scene when I was first getting interested in graffiti. It is largely through their pieces and documented actions that I developed a romanticised notion of what my life could be. Whilst it did not come to fruition, I'm forever grateful for that original feeling of excitement. I'm not sure that I've experienced one greater.

Its to prevent smell, if u do a tunnel layup close to a station the Security could smell the paint if u use regular cans, so its purely a stealth reason.....
