People can say what they want about IH BUT… Regardless of his style and ways he has influenced many beginners to start porting. He shows the average guy that with basic tools and a little know how you CAN make your saw run better and stronger. He’s a great man and they don’t make many like him anymore. I appreciate what he’s done and continues to do. Same with you Tinman you help people feel confident in playing around inside their chainsaw. Thank you to all of you for that

Hey Tinman, check Wild West Garage's video "Life at Tinman's" at the 5:19 mark. Is that the bag you are looking for that you tossed on the bench at the back of your shop?

My 371xp got me into building chainsaws. Felt I was taken advantage of because it was not a running chainsaw and the guy who sold it to me told me it ran great. Found out I love building chainsaws (the way Buckin's pals do).

You only need to use 1 diaphragm. The regular rubber one is for normal fuel and the clear/fiber one is for ethanol fuels.

Lovin the content you, Buckin and Morgan are pumping out from the trip👍 IMO, 100ll avgas is about the most consistent fuel one can buy! If it weren't for the leaded part, I'd recommend it to everyone for saws and 2t OPE. Hopefully those parts show up before you buy them again😅

Man ol man... I sure love these videos Tinman. Shout out from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Mr D's Trees. You & Buckin are two Peas in a Pod I swear.. One of our quote guys had a 372xp in the bin of his work truck..my eyes lit up & I said hey man what you doing with that Husky... He replies nothing she hasn't been cranked in a year or so.. So I replied well I'll use it... He replies hey Idc take it. 😲😲😳😳 I said UH UH UH okay. Just put a new chain on her..she's a runner that's for sure. Question tho? Do you recommend stock air cover and filter or custom hole in cover with aftermarket filter out the top..thanks 🙏🏼 & would drilling a hole in the muffler help wake her up.? Thanks brother. Love you all!

With me it's almost always right after I find a way to get by without whatever I misplaced that I find it. With that being said the best advice I can give you is to stop looking for or trying to remember what you did with that bag and I would bet that you either find or remember what you did with it in less than 36 hours.

Like Mr Harv Ibut reverse I definitely don't know porting much on bigger saws once you get past 60cc I'm lost. 40-58cc I'm definitely more familiar with. Ported a farmertec g372 the 365 clone and I'm pretty sure I went a bit to large on transfer volume size. Rings hasn't seated in yet but still determined to pull the cylinder off and possibly fill with some jb to reflow everything to be a bit smaller. Don't know yet until I keep running it for the rings to seat to actually know if it's gonna pull this 28" or not. We all don't know until we try it and see if it works. Love the video buddy both yours and arvs saws run and I mean Run. Good luck to you buddy

Higher octane is only necessary when compression calls for it, otherwise yes the 87 lower..faster flash point, less controlled. Unless u backfire or predetonation (high compression) is only reason you would "need" or "gain(aka ability to not pre-boom) " higher octane. But to each his own, and yeah I'm on coast so lots of e free gas for boats, and its usually mid or hi

@stupidasso61832 жыл бұрын
M screws. Those usually take a variety of M8 screws. The thread pitch should be 1, not 1.5, if you live near something like a Harbor Freight you can get kits or you can order them online. The anti-vibration are usually not an M screw they are a heavy biting loose thread.
