Great video Big. My neighbor bought a pre-owned Ram and he helped me repair my HVAC system and wouldn't take a dime. SO, I bought him one of the pads as a reward. Only thing wrong was the driver's side pad. Easy as pie after watching this....Many thanks !!

Just sending gratitude on this video on replacing the mopar step pads . I noticed a last month or so one of my pads was torn a immediately say to myself. Oh now I’m gonna have to buy new step rail. But by accident I ran across your video tutorial on replacing them if it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t have known. They were replaceable so THANKS AGAIN ! I’m also now a subscriber.

Thanks for subbing Paul! I really appreciate your support. it's funny you said man I'm going to have to buy a new step rails because I thought the same thing after I saw mine was broke. No joke, it took me 4 months of research to finally find that Amazon link. Not even allMoparparts.com had it.

big daddy's house Lol glad to know it’s guys like you on KZbin to help guys like me and others. To be a DIY and also I check out your video on replacing and removing the headlights without removing the grill. Out of all the videos I saw last year on KZbin on the topic. They all show only one way removing the grill wish I would have saw it 2 years ago. I also replaced my 2016 Ram factor lights (well someone else did) with the same one’s you have. Keep doing your thing man and much success with your channel.

Just what I needed to know, thanks. Wasn’t sure if the step pads 0:20 0:20 were glued on or what. I think that step pad is a bad design, definitely needs more support on the edges where you step to get in. If I’d been smarter, when it started to crack, I should have swapped it with another less used one, just saying.

One of my caps fell off also. But I know it actually fell off because it was in my driveway and I didn’t know what it was initially. The thing is that the screw was still installed in the rail, same as seen in your video. So I am wondering if the screws actually even go into the caps to hold them in place? Seems like the screws may be either too short or not in a good position.

Hey Dennis, I guess anything is possible I never even dawned on me that I would have just fell off on its own. Lol I mean both of my back ones were missing at the same time. And to put the new caps on I had to smack it with a hammer it was pretty tight. But who knows after weather changes and the sun beating on it anything is possible. You are right though, could always drive a longer screw through it wouldn't hurt anything. Thanks for watching and your comment man.

Are they slippery with rain?

Hey Manny, I took my rails off a couple years back, but I don't recall slipping in the rain. I mean maybe if you were wearing flip flops in the rain they made slip.... If you have real issues with rain mud or ice can always get some grip tape (usually used on a skateboard) and apply that to the top. That would give you ultra traction! Thanks for watching man!

My running board does not have the holes in the center, how can I re secure my pad,

Are your step rails made by Mopar? This video was intended for people who had the stock Mopar step rails. But if you want to retrofit something that will work for you, I would personally just drill a hole. But that's not for everyone.
