is it better to 3 bet fold instead of jamming on 10-30 bb playing low stakes? Youre risking less unless they 4-bet more often right? What do you think
@DeeDubbleYouАй бұрын
From my understanding/experience population overfolds at mid-low stakes so being aggressive pre flop is good. Personally, I've been on a incredible downswing at the moment so I'm running into it a lot but overall people aren't calling what they should so jamming more is probably beneficial. What do you think? Also, it really depends on the stage of the tournament. What stage are you referring to?
@velmrok1660Ай бұрын
@DeeDubbleYou mostly mid. I am loosing A LOT. For example its Bubble or post bubble. So average stack is 20-30bb. In chip ev solution there is lots of all ins on the late positions. And because of that i can all in A5o on theBTN and get destroyed by random AT or sth. I know its result oriented but the point is it happens a lot. I just wondered if its really that profitable in ICM and how could i make the variance lower.

0:29 I want to talk about this first hand, because I don't get it, sorry. The whole way this hand played looks for me like you're talking yourself into a, for my oppinion, bad play. 1. " i'm deep, that's why I don't give him credit at all. So I call" Skip the flop, its a standard call. 2. On the turn, its like: we check. Ehm no. We actially bet. There are e.g. some Ace Kings, that we want him to fold, which is really good. -> what?! If you put him on Ace King, why would you want him to fold? Makes mo sense. 3. Riverjam: You jam ~80bb when the Ace gets there. When the flush gets there. You block almost nothing. Imo it's a terrible play. I've seen a lot of your videos. Also when your 'students' show you hand replays like this and there was actually someone who trapped on that river. You'd almost punch him in the face for the terrible play. Guys, don't do this BS at home. You end up loosing. Except you have endless bullets. Then good luck.
@wuupioАй бұрын
With this kind of play, you teach the kids: Never backup. Never give up. Close your eyes and jam. Maybe you run into a knife, maybe you win. 50/50 baby.
@mathieulebrun558928 күн бұрын
on the turn you make him for ak, aq which denies a lot of equity cheaply, he cant raise.the turn cause he has all 87s there so the straight and the river allows you to make him fold kk and qq with A and flush coming in. its risky but mandatory bluff if you want to run deep@@wuupio

Genuine question. You’re calling a 4bet with 9-10suited, which ofcourse seems fine playing so deep, but the ‘recreational’ called a 3bet w J9ss, how is that worse than what you did with 9-10suited.
@RedezBashАй бұрын
Lol look at the board .. one guy was bluffing with 10-9 suited cuz he went al in , the other guy with overs on the board called with mid pair bad kicker no back door outs and CALLED an all in , difference between bluffing and fish calling/hero calling with nothing

With almost $2 million in earnings, I don’t think MisterAnderson qualifies as a recreational LOL
@RaiseYourEdgeАй бұрын
2mio in earnings is nothing. Every highstakes rec has 5mio+ What matters are profits. If he has 2mio in profits then I might have mislabeled him.

Revenue is nothing if you buy in a million dollars annually but you’re revenue is hovering around a million well you’ve broken even after a million dollars of buy ins.. which means you suck ass at cards, so like Ben said profits is what separates the men from the boys.
@Sonic-wb7ikАй бұрын
I am definitely recreational and have over $2m in earnings. Not too hard to do if you play mid/high stakes regularly for 5+ years. Especially once your 8 tabling each session. Unfortunately, $2m in winnings does not equate to $2m in profits. At one point, i was at $500k in winnings and was break even in profits.

@Sonic-wb7ikАй бұрын
Lol, perfect reply. 😂 Ben is a true icon in the online poker community, and we’re incredibly fortunate that he shares this content for free. Personally, these videos have had a huge impact on my game. I transitioned from being a low/mid stakes player from 2020 - 2023 with an ROI of about 8% to competing at mid/high stakes with a 14% ROI in 2024. While I’ve put in a lot of effort studying charts and game theory, the visual learning these videos provide resonates much more with my learning style. Ben, this year I achieved two major milestones: winning my first high-stakes MTT online and my first Sunday major tournament at mid-stakes. Your content has played a pivotal role in sharpening my MTT skills. Thank you so much for all you do.
