Running Hue Lab Formulas (Or Scenes) via Alexa Routines

I had this working reliably for 3 years then around March/April 2023 Hue Labs stopped working via Alexa. I discovered many people had the same problem. I contacted Hue who fed back that: "due to changes made in the system this scene recall functionality is broken and will not be fixed. Hue Labs is a test environment and functionality may come and go." Thanks Phillips Hue

Thanks, I do like creating Hue/smart lighting videos, so will do more soon 🙂 I have a couple of smart camera ones in the pipeline, but will be doing some Hue ones soon after. 👍

Unfortunately, it does not work for me. I just can't find the scene in Alexa. Or Alexa does not find a new scene. Any tips for troubleshooting?

Hmm sorry to hear it. I had a similar experience (tried it once a week for a month or two), and one day it randomly started working 😔 So it does seem a bit temperamental at times. If I find more info, though, then I'll let you know 👍

Doesn't work for me. My bulbs still won't fade out or in when I start an alexa routine to trigger the lab scene.

Hmm sorry to hear it. It didn't work for me at first (after people told me that Alexa added this feature, and it worked for them). So maybe it's either a slow - or buggy - rollout? 😕 I hope yours starts working soon though, it is nice when it's all setup.

Is it possible to show motion on a ring camera on all echo show devices and mobile devices at the same time. I have 3 echo show with displays and 2 firesticks. There are 5 stick up cameras, 3 spotlight cameras and a ring doorbell. I could really do with your help ? Thank you Andrew

Hi Andrew 👋 With the Alexa-Ring integration, you can get your Echo and Fire stick devices to say "motion detected in your garden/drive" (etc), but it won't actually show the live view footage from that motion. Only doorbell presses will show the footage on your Echo Show and FireTV devices.
