Another fabulous video Nicola and clearly Poppy had a fantastic time as well. And yet again the weather was super kind to you. The park looked amazing and it had what every good park should have, a good band stand. Looking forward to your Scandinavian adventure, so until then take care.

Fellow parkrunner here, But from Oz. I found your channel while looking for videos of parkruns in the parts of Leeds where I was born and lived, until I was 6 and left the UK. I think that reaching my 500 milestone is a bit beyond me, but I hope to get to 250 this year. Great content! I love all the Leeds and Yorkshire content, it makes me a bit homesick, even though I left 68 years ago.

Hiya 👋 thank you 🤗 pleased you're enjoying the videos, do you ever come back for a visit? Which would be your home parkrun? We're off to Woodhouse Moor this morning 🏃♀️
@terben73392 жыл бұрын
@@NicolaRuns I was born at St Mary's, Armley. My parents lived just west of Hyde Park Rd and then we moved to Potternewton, where the Chapel Allerton Hospital now stands. So the parkruns would be Armley, Woodhouse Moor and Potternewton. I have only been back once, many years ago. I watched the video of your return to parkrun after the Covid lockdown, it was quite moving. Our lockdown in South Australia wasn't as long as in the UK, but we missed it just as keenly.

Hi, I've popped in from the Run to the hills podcast and watched the Hull half pacing before this vid caught my eye. My wife and her friends went down from South Shields for the Jubilee run and met the Queen aka runstreaker Paul Smith. You and Paul were nearly both in the same place at the same time! 6 degrees of separation fact... the lady who gave you your token, Pat, used to be a coach at South Shields Harriers and used to coach my wife. Good luck with your next 100 miler!

I loved this! It was smashing to see Lesley join in with the spirit of Poppy’s game. I ran Huntingdon parkrun a few weeks ago with my 5yo grandson and we had a very speedy last km - he got a lot faster when he found a stick that looked like a gun and we had to shoot and run away from the aliens in the woods! Great video Nic. Hope the Scandi-double was a blast!

It's all about the parkrun games with kids. Otherwise it's pretty boring not getting to stop and play. We've done many runs as rabbits running away from Mr McGregor! 🤣 I'm shattered now but the double was bloody brilliant thanks 😃😃😃

My only English parkrun to date is Jubilee- it’s a wee toughy! Those hills look like nothing but bite increasingly hard each lap. Fond memories from last year- was a family weekend trip 😊

That's awesome and yes the hills are so funny there. They look like absolutely nothing but then running them feels so hard and you feel like something is wrong with your legs 🤣🤣🤣 sneaky little draggy hills! ⛰️

@@NicolaRuns kind of tricky to explain, but the Green Man is a distinctive English folk tradition. He's sort of the embodiment of the woods and countryside and a whole lot else - well worth digging into as there's all sorts of stories and traditions attached.
