I'm from this town where the Running of the horses happened at.. They were all properly well taken care of an no horse was hurt in anyway, the horses didn't run far.. they were only running to the stamped park but all got there in safe condition. The ones putting it on knew what they were doing an not only that it was a Memorial why it was put on. Only happened once. None of them were murdered nor slottered every single horse in this video is owned.. please have some manners an not negativityBrowning MtBlackfeet Tribe

Well, technically all "wild" horses in America are owned by someone, if not by ranches or people who maintain them, then by the state. It is actually against the law in several states to aproach and interact with wild horses if they are owned by the state. These horses don't really look wild but are probaly not very tame either.

Thanks for explaining that. It’s clear that these horses are incredibly well cared for and that this event is well organised. Even with the blues and twos clearing the path. That’s some sight and good old running workout for the horses.
@SaltwaterTaffyz Жыл бұрын
Can’t believe people were just assuming the horses weren’t well taken care of 💀 It really is incredible how great they are at their job, none of the horses even strayed away from the herd, and holy crap that’s a lot of horses.
@Mothermotherhwoydo Жыл бұрын
Maybe because they are galloping on fucking concrete? That’s really and I mean REALLY bad for their hoofs. If they got proper care the owners would know that.

Can’t just swear because something people say upsets you, they probably weren’t even running for very long anyway. You’re treating it like they were forcing the horses to run till they died. You have to understand that not everyone gets that, you can’t just spat out your unnecessary aggressive nonsense out to people who aren’t even trying to be disrespectful in the first place

horses even for short distances should never run on concrete as it causes a lot of damage to their legs, it's a beautiful video but talking from an equestrian's perspective it is the owners' responsible for what happens to these horses, it should be done on fields and never on roads :)@@SaltwaterTaffyz

Despite some of the comments this made me honestly happy. To see such beautiful creatures run with each other, mothers, children, fathers. To see them run like this makes me think of the times when herds of wild horses would do this on day to day basis in the wild fields. So despite what some say, I’m just happy to see horses running and despite being lead, being free.

For those of you who are clueless about real ranch horses: 1. These are unshod and have great traction on asphalt. 2. They aren't running a Kentucky Derby, they are at a canter, not a full on gallop, and they get no damage to their legs from that short run. 3. Those foals "not keeping up" were being curious, not exhausted. See #2. 4. The horses and the dogs are used to each other. Those are working dogs and working horses. City rules don't apply. 5. The foal at the last being brought up with the tail riders is fine. It isn't with it's mother and may have lost it's mother. Predation and accidents happen on the range. The rope around it is loose and only being used as a guide. 6. This is country living, country ways. If you're city born and bred, you probably have no clue how things work in the real world of ranches and farms. Your opinion is uneducated and not valid.

The only time it is bad for a horse to be on cement is if it is day to day, galloping to and fro, without any horseshoes. Then, it would be bad.

There are a lot of nervous Nellys out there. The ground conditions that ranch horses and wild horses live out west isn't like back east. In many areas it's dry, rocky, hard, and abrasive, much like the pavement. There aren't many farriers out west because ranchers trim and shoe their own horses. The ground conditions however do most of the trimming. Horses with poor feet and legs simply don't survive especially in the wild. That improves the genetics. Ranch and wild horses are also faced with predators. To survive, they gather into a herd and run, run as far as they need to. The foals will find their mommas. Odds are the mommas knew where the foals are. So everyone relax and enjoy the fact the horses are out in the open and not cramped into a stall every night to stand in their own crap.

i dont think any of those horses are really weird, ithink most of them are used for breeding, they are from people i think, they just do this once a year they wont freaking die from it.. And i think asphalt is better then all the lil rocks

I’m glad that they all got there safe but I feel a bit sad for them I know they must’ve been taken care of but they must’ve been scared out their minds people chasing them loud noises dogs barking at them it’s very stressful:( (and there were foals) (sorry to anyone who disagrees not trying to be rude)
